My friend gave me three ‘offensive’ rules for meeting her new boyfriend – people say it’s a huge red flag
A WOMAN has been left stunned after her friend gave her a list of "offensive" rules she had to follow for meeting her new boyfriend.
The shocked pal, from Scotland, had been excited to be introduced to her bestie's new man.
But that excitement instantly turned to dread when she was told she would have to follow three strict "do's and don'ts" for the meeting.
Writing in to the Girls Overheard podcast, she revealed the major issues with the list.
Podcast host Eilidh Wells was tasked with reading out the anonymous message on the show.
It read: "Should I be offended that my friend gave me a list of do's and don'ts for the first time I met her new man?"
Going straight into the list, Eilidh continued: "Number one, no swearing. He thinks it's unclassy.
"Number two, no talking about us being drunk because they're both teetotal now and she finds it embarrassing.
"Number three, don't joke about anything sexual because it's not his type of humour."
Feeling offended on the woman's behalf, Eilidh fumed: "Nah honesty is the best policy he needs to know the TRUTH."

Co-host Ash Reid then joked: "Boring, boring, boring."
And the last of the trio, Lauren Kerr, suggested: "I would go with the shortest skirt on, the lowest cut out top ever so your t*** are basically on the table. I would order a f***ing pint and I would swear 'What's up f***ers?'."
And social media users are just as outraged, with the clip racking up 200,000 views.
One person said: "The fact she doesn’t want any of this mentioned/done around him makes me thing he’s not just boring but controlling and would have an issue with her being friends with them after."
A second wrote: "Omg.. I had an ex bf and I said similar things to my friend before she met him the first time.
"Suffice to say, it did not end well. You can’t hide your true self/past. It just doesn’t work."
"No one should ever have to change for anyone", blasted a third.
A fourth chimed in: "If she has to prewarn it shows he’s not the one for her - he would accept her and her friends for what they are."

"Get her out of that relationship fast", pleaded a fifth.
