Secretary for Security Chris Tang Ping-keung took time off from an official visit to the capital - leading the heads of Hong Kong's six disciplined services on a visit to Beijing as well as Guangzhou and Shenzhen - to try fermented green bean soup, and he declared it to be "not bad."
He even posted a video of himself downing a bowl of the dish and remarked it had a strong flavor - something between tofu and stinky tofu.
Tang also said many people left messages asking if he had ever tried the famous "bean milk" when he was in Beijing, and that "only after trying bean milk can you call yourself a real man."
The security boss noted the milk "clears heat" and improves gut health, but he didn't reveal where he stand stands in the measures of manhood.
