ALPURI: A senior journalist, Nasir Mahmood, passed away here on Thursday due to cardiac arrest.He was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Lilonai. A large number of people attended his funeral.
He was among the pioneers of journalism in the far-off Shangla district and remained associated with the media for three decades. He launched Shangla Times, a weekly magazine.The deceased was the brother of Nazeer Mahmood, Tufail Mahmood, patwari; father of Afaq Mahmood.
