25 buffaloes burnt alive in cattle shed fire

LAHORE:A devastating fire broke out in a cattle shed in the Sundar area, claiming the lives of more than 25 buffaloes and destroying valuable equipment, including a tractor.

According to initial reports, the fire was caused by a short circuit. Flames quickly engulfed the shed, resulting in significant losses for the owner. Upon receiving the report, rescue teams rushed to the scene and successfully extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading further. The incident has left the affected farmers in despair, as the livestock and equipment were their primary source of livelihood. Authorities are assessing the damage and investigating the circumstances leading to the fire.

Man arrested for making false robbery call

Islampura police have arrested a man who made a false robbery call to misappropriate his employer’s cash and cheque. The incident unfolded when the Akram Park police post responded to an emergency call made on the 15 helpline. The caller claimed that armed robbers had fled with cash and a cheque from his employer's employee. Acting promptly, police reached the scene and began investigating the matter. During questioning, the employer was called to the spot, along with the employee who had reported the robbery. The employee, identified as Mudassir, soon confessed that he had fabricated the robbery story to steal the cash and cheque for himself. Police recovered the stolen cheque and money from Mudassir.

Two apprehended with dummy pistol

Dolphin Squad apprehended two suspects in Garden Town area and recovered a dummy pistol and a motorcycle. The suspects were handed over to the Garden Town police for further investigation. Dolphin Squad was patrolling the area when they signalled two suspicious motorcyclists to stop. Instead of complying, the suspects attempted to flee. After a brief chase, the squad intercepted them near Barkat Market. The suspects, identified as Bilal and Ahmed, were found in possession of a dummy pistol and an unregistered motorcycle.

Man, wife dead in bike-tractor collision

A tragic road accident on Basin Pull, Saiffan Road, Jallo, resulted in the deaths of two individuals when a tractor collided with a motorcycle. Rescue 1122 teams responded promptly to the scene and confirmed the fatalities. According to updates from Rescue 1122, the victims were found dead upon arrival of the emergency team. The deceased have been identified as Parveen, wife of Sabir, aged 50, and Sabir Ali, son of Ghulam Mustafa, aged 29.
