RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 11 Khwarij in three separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday and Wednesday. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was carried out in Tank District following reports of militant presence.
During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the militants’ location, leading to the elimination of seven insurgents.
In another operation conducted in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan District, two militants were killed during an exchange of fire with security forces.
The third encounter occurred in Mamad Gat, Mohmand District, where security forces neutralised two more insurgents after an intense exchange of fire.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who were reportedly involved in numerous terrorist activities targeting security forces and innocent civilians.
Sensitization operations are ongoing to ensure the area is clear of any remaining militant threats, said the ISPR.
