IT system to monitor students’ performance approved

LAHORE:The University of Health Sciences (UHS) convened the 208th meeting of its Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB), chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Ahsan Waheed Rathore.

The board approved the introduction of an IT-based monitoring system to oversee the academic and research performance of postgraduate students. Initially, the system will be piloted with MS Nursing students. The Directorate of Postgraduate Studies has been directed to prepare and present monthly progress reports to the ASRB for evaluation. The synopses of 23 students were also considered for registration to various postgraduate courses in the meeting.

Nurses delegation visits LGH

A delegation of the Pakistan Nursing Council, led by Director General Nursing Punjab Tahira Sagheer visited Ameer Uddin Nursing College and Lahore General Hospital Midwifery. They observed in detail the facilities provided by the Punjab government for the first time for the integration of evening classes of BSc Nursing to be affiliated with PNC.

The members of the delegation included Rehmat Ullah, Mrs Sajida, Irshad Khan and Miss Rani while the Principal of the Nursing College Rubina Inam, along with the faculty members welcomed them to the college. The delegation inquired about the education, training and nursing classes from the students. Principal of the Nursing College Rubina Inam told the delegation that a large number of nurses have graduated from this Institute established in 1962 and are providing professional services in the country and abroad.
