Jeremy Renner showed much gratitude as he acknowledged the second anniversary of his lethal snowplow accident on social media.

The S.W.A.T. star took to Instagram to speak on his “blessings and send out his love” now that it’s 2025. “Happy New Year blessings to you all…. Ringing in my second ‘ReBirthday’ today. I send out my love, respect, and gratitude for the army of people that it took to put me back together again,” the actor shared on Instagram.

“Thank you to each and every nurse, doctor, first responder… I literally owe you my life . All my heart goes out to my beautiful, brave nephew and the angels (my neighbors) who jumped to my aid and endured the chaos for 45 long minutes on the icy asphalt New Years morning,” Jeremy further wrote.

He added: “My gratitude list is very long …. With the amount of love and prayers that flooded in from you all around the world (needing each and everyone of them), my family never leaving my side , with some divine intervention, a bit of luck and a whole lot of miracles … I stand strong again. More Open. More Loved. More Connected. And…BLESSED to take my next step, to take MY NEXT BREATH. Thank you with every fiber and cell in my body. I love you ALL.”

In 2023, a snowplow ran Jeremy over, resulting in him obtaining many injuries such as eight broken ribs, two broken ankles, a broken leg, a broken shoulder plus more, Movieguide reported. While he was a guest on the SMARTLESS podcast, Jeremy revealed that when he was recovering from the near-fatal accident, he didn’t “have the energy” to do roles.

“I don’t have the fuel,” he admitted. “I have so much fuel to put into this reality, this body, all this stuff. I can’t just go play make-believe right now. Because that takes a lot of time to get right here every day just so I can have a positive thought, so I can progress, so I can always keep growing.”

After his months-long recovery process, the Oscar-nominated entertainer returned to his roots, appearing in new seasons of the show Mayor of Kingstown and the upcoming movie in the Knives Out franchise. Jeremy talked about how his accident altered his life during his appearance at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival.

“I am very, very proud to overcome a great adversity in my life, and I’m forever grateful for all the love and support I’ve gotten from people all around the world, even those I never knew existed, that helped propel me to get better, and it’s the only thing that really kind of defines me in my life at this point,” he told the crowd. “I did die, and I came back, and I came back for a reason, and nothing to do with me. If it was my choice, I’d rather stay. But I came back, and I’m glad I’m back…”
