Cher has exposed her inappropriate interaction with late producer and convicted murderer Phil Spector when she was a teen.
In her newly released tell-all memoir Cher: The Memoir, Part One, the legendary pop singer revealed her inappropriate interactions with Phil when she was just 15 years old. Phil passed away at the age of 81 years old in 2021 after serving two decades in prison after being convicted of the murder of actress Lana Clarkson.
In her novel, the Believe hitmaker recalled: "He might have been a demigod to many, but he acted weird, and I didnât like how he stared at me." Cher went on to claim that Phil proposed having sex with her in French as she wrote: "'Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?â he said, smirking, asking me to sleep with him."

Cher, being the icon that she is, wrote: "Without breaking a sweat, I gave him a look back and replied, âOui, pour lâargent,â" which translates to "Yes, for the money." She went on to add: "You could have knocked him over with a feather. He didnât think Iâd understand the question, let alone have an answer."
In her book, Cher also accused Phil of using her vocals without her permission on a song he released in Europe and then allegedly threatened her with a gun. The popstar claimed that after using her vocals without her consent, the producer tried to intimate her by swinging around a firearm in his hands as they discussed the matter together. In this, the two were entangled in a heated debate over the cover of the song 'A Love Like Yours' originally written by Martha and the Vandellas.
She wrote: "He told me he could do whatever he wanted. He said our record companies could sue him if they didn't like it. Then he picked up a revolver that I hadn't previously noticed lying on the green felt. Staring at him in fury, as he twirled it around his fingers, I said, 'Don't f--- with me, Phillip!' You can't pull that s--- on me, you a--hole. This is me, Cher, okay?'"
Chef revealed that he later apologized for the incident and they privately resolved the issue. Cher and Phil's drama was just one of the many shocking bombshells Cher dropped in her latest memoir. In the new release, Cher details many stories throughout her fascinating life including her entertainment feuds, difficult childhood, her love story with Sonny Bono, and much more.
