Bowman County/Beach earns 9th in Hettinger Classic

HETTINGER — The 2025 Girls Hettinger Classic featured a mix of both toe-to-toe action and lopsided matches. Custer County took home the top prize after earning 244 points in the tournament.

The Bowman County/Beach Bulldogs came in ninth place with 39 points. They had a smaller roster compared to the other teams. 250-pounder Liliana Murauto earned fifth-place in her bracket after receiving a bye in the fifth-place match.

BCHS 136-pounder Marlena Erickson was the only other Bulldog to land in the top-5 as she defeated Belle Fourche’s Sofia Gonzalez by Fall (4:45).

The Bulldogs will return to the mat on Saturday, Jan. 18 for the 2025 Coal Country Clash.

112-pounder Jillian Stoltzfus defeated Bowman County/Beach’s Sicily Kula by Fall (0:29) to take home seventh place in her class.
