After emphatically steering clear of her father’s second presidential run, Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner suddenly showed face, standing by Donald Trump’s side at his victory party on Tuesday. Jared and Ivanka were said to have lost a lot of friends and social sway after the last Trump presidency, and made pains to distance themselves following his 2020 loss. Which begs the question: Now that Trump is returning to power, will they be returning to the White House to work for his administration?
Apparently not. According to “Page Six,” sources close to the family say Jared and Ivanka plan to stay safely sequestered in Miami, where they have spent the past few years working out with Gisele Bündchen’s boyfriend, posting spiritual quotes on Instagram, and willfully ignoring the election. “She doesn’t plan to be in politics,” one unnamed friend said of Ivanka. “If she has something she wants to say, she will speak with her father about it directly, and privately.” Other sources suggested Ivanka might “make key appearances and support the idea of the American family,” whatever that means. Beyond that, she is more interested in working with “tech leaders,” and talking about “child safety on the internet, as well as her concerns about child trafficking.” Kushner, meanwhile, apparently plans to advise the transition team but will stick to the private-equity firm he started when he left the White House.
