There’s a Cybertruck in Trump’s Motorcade Now

Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s bizarre relationship continues to blossom in front of our eyes. The president-elect was in Texas on Tuesday to watch the latest SpaceX launch and got an escort to the facility from a motorcade. That’s all normal. What’s weird is that, in what I imagine is an attempt to add a Musk-y flair to the proceedings, the motorcade included a Cybertruck.

It’s unclear if Trump is actually in the Cybertruck or if it’s just along for the ride. It’s not hard to imagine Musk sending for his new best friend in his beloved vehicle, but would the Secret Service allow him to get in it? Who’s to say? Other than Musk insisting upon it, there is no real reason to have a Cybertruck as part of a motorcade. Not only are they ugly, they ruin the sleek, all-black look, and Cybertrucks are notorious for being pieces of junk that can barely withstand rain. If anything, it looks like some idiot with a Cybertruck merged into the motorcade and can’t get out.

If this relationship continues on without one of them turning on the other, who knows how Tesla-fied Trump’s second term might be. Those freaky humanoid robots might be giving White House tours come January.
