Congratulations are in order for legendary fighter Ronda Rousey, who can now add “giving birth twice” to her long list of amazing physical feats. Last night, she shared an announcement via Instagram that she’d given birth in Los Angeles as the wildfires raged. “Our little girl came into this world during a windstorm into a city on fire,” wrote Rousey, “so grateful she made it safe and sound.”

Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne is Rousey’s second child with fellow former UFC fighter Travis Browne, who is Native Hawaiian on his father’s side. The couple had their first daughter, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō, in September of 2021. Rousey is also the stepmother to Browne’s two sons from a previous marriage, Kaleo and Keawe, who are both in high school.

After an illustrious career that included an Olympic bronze medal in judo, countless wins, and becoming the highest paid UFC fighter of any gender, Rousey fought her last UFC match in 2016. She and Browne married in 2017. Last year, she published a memoir that revealed that she had struggled with concussions throughout her career and that it was a major reason for her UFC retirement. “I’d had so many more concussions than anybody else in a ten-year judo career, and so when I started doing MMA I didn’t want anyone to know,” she told The Guardian.

In an April interview on The Diary of a CEO With Steven Bartlett, Rousey also shared that she had experienced two miscarriages before getting pregnant for the first time. She started IVF soon after. “So many women think they’re going through it alone. But it’s really, really common,” she said at the time. Congrats to Rousey and Browne on a very happy start to 2025.
