Being stuck in the ’90s has a poor connotation. But some refuse to let go of the bygone era — and often for good reason. After all, the decade brought us TLC’s “Waterfalls,” the advent of the choker necklace, and slinky, silk slip dresses. It also gave us Tom Ford’s Gucci era, Winona’s goth-meets-grunge phase, Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, and prolific style icons like Princess Diana, Aaliyah, and Cher Horowitz.

That said, finding the best gift for a ’90s-era style enthusiast requires a little research, lest you end up with a Tamagachi and a confused recipient. Forget the typical red flannel shirt: These are the smartest, not-so-literal gifts to give anyone whose enviable style ethos revolves around 1994.

Baguette Bag

Logomania might be on the decline, but Gucci’s Ophidia bag, which was originally released in 2018, is reminiscent of the house’s vintage codes thanks to its baguette shape and curb chain.

Track Pants

Athleisure may not have been a word back in ’94, but these dual-striped track pants certainly fit the bill.

Gwyneth definitely wore a version of this black denim midi skirt in ’96 — and it’s still just as timeless.
