Most Tiresome Trend, Part 2 We saw an inordinate number of people taking selfies from the their front-row seats, from Carol Alt to Nicki Minaj to Bella Thorne. We’re not anti-selfie entirely but: You’ve just had 50 photographers elbowing one another in the face to get a shot of you. Do you really need another one on your phone? Especially DURING the show to which you have such a great seat? Put down the iPhone and lean in, y’all. (Figuratively. Those photographers will get pissed if you end up in their runway shots.)

We saw an NYPD K-9 unit at nearly every show we attended, sniffing around to (presumably) make sure everyone working and viewing the shows was safe — and very occasionally playing with a tennis ball. We overheard the officer, after one show, noting that it was time to give the dog a treat for doing his job so well. If that’s what made its coat so shiny, can we have one, too?

Far be it from us to say that Nicki doesn't need protection — we don't know her life — but there's no need to use the words, "You wanna go?!?!" to an accredited photographer just trying to do his job. Most OCD Moment When we walked into Reem Acra, three men were frantically Swiffering the highly reflective runway, while another man meticulously buffed it with what looked like a diaper. Biggest Oops This one’s on us. Thanks to cab shenanigans, we arrived at Tommy Hilfiger with only two minutes to spare to do our front-row-ogling gig, and found ourselves on the wrong side of the U-shaped, sand-flanked runway. Panicked, and noticing shoe marks already in the median, we hurriedly crossed, stepping only in preexisting footprints ... and it ruined the show and it got canceled and everyone had to leave. Except actually, security simply threatened to toss us from the venue, we contritely took the long way back to our seats, and the show went off fine and nobody died. And yet, is it wrong that we were tempted to stick a toe back on the sand, just to see what would happen? Maybe next time. We meet again in February, Hilfiger security!
