Who doesn't love a good personality or seasonal quiz? There's nothing more enjoyable than a complete waste of time that comes with a surprise ending.
Which is why I didn't give up on this nightmare. You've seen the Buzzfeed quizzes I'm sure. If you aren't familiar, the website Buzzfeed popularized the quick quizzes like "Which Friends Character are You?", or "Only 10% of People Get These Grammar Questions Correct".
You know the ones.
I've been thinking about doing one for about a year now and this year I actually did it because I had a spare hour.
So last Sunday I started to write my quiz which I assumed I would take me 1.5 hours give or take a .5 hours, leaving me plenty of time to bathe and eat.
It took 4 days. I resorted to eating my arm hair after about day 2.
There was the figuring out the software, and the right questions, and then writing responses that would lead to the BEST answers.
Plus I tend to lean more towards the dark side of everything at this time of year and my first draft of the Which Halloween Movie are You quiz turned out to be more of a litmus test for who among you should just be in a maximum security prison as opposed to solitary confinement.
So I had to start again. Then I didn't like some of the .. well it doesn't matter.
All that matters is I finished it and did so without chewing my typing fingers off completely.
I have a whole new respect for anyone who creates these quizzes and most importantly wonder which dry shampoo they use.

Very very fun quiz! And yes, the Exorcist is the correct answer!
LeeAnne
I got: "You're The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!
You have a sentimental love of Halloween and will spend the night handing out candy and enthusiastically complimenting even the most pathetic of costumes."
It is ABSOLUTELY true!
Though back in the days when kids actually came to the door, :-(
hubby handed out the candy while I tried to scare the kids.
Chris
So right below your text saying to take the quiz, but just above your actual quiz was an ad to take a quiz. I didn't scroll far enough to see your quiz, so spent 10-15 minutes taking a different quiz full of optical illusions (thinking the whole time "How exactly is this telling me what movie am I?"), only to finish it and find that it wasn't your quiz at all. Long story short... I got The Exorcist.
Karen
Noo!😆 ~ karen!
DoIHaveTo?
Exorcist??? Me??!
Wha..?!?
Is human teeth some kind of Canadian candy?
Or just that?
What's a rocket? (In the candy context of course.)
Who gives out marshmellows? That's just weird.
We usually give out cheese balls (puffs), smarties, and candy corn (the cheap kind, I keep the good stuff, hah!) Sometimes mom gets a bag of mixed chocolates too, but they don't necessarily make it all the way to the door. Or Halloween. *snickers* ;)
DoIHaveTo?
Hard to choose between Beatle and black cat.
Our first dog was part beagle, he was awesome!
And many of our cats have been black (more or less). Frankly, I'd get both.
What's an A Zuul?
DoIHaveTo?
*Beagle
@#$%& spellcheck!
Catherine Powers
Is A Zuul from Ghostbuters? Just guessing
DoIHaveTo?
Hmm no idea

Spot on with The Exorcist! I’d say you should write quizzes for a living but then we’d miss out on your “how to’s” and that would be SAD! Where would my life be without the knowledge you impart??? :)
Karen
Oh you don't have to worry about me writing quizzes for a living, lol. They're hard! And a pain! ~ karen
Cynthia
Hmmm. Exorcist? I shall ponder. I was hoping for The Haunting of Hill House.
But why oh why did you not offer candy corn? This is the one time of the year I allow myself to eat pure sugar dyed orange until I’m nauseated. Wonder if that would have gotten me to Hill House? Scariest movie ever in my humble opinion.
Thanks for the quiz!!
Jody
Witch Halloween movie am I?.....Yippee I'm the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. On Halloween I'll be handing out chocolate to 400 kiddos. That's not a typo. My street is over the top FUN.
Karen
Holy stink. That's A LOT of kids. ~ karen!
Lisa E
Oh yay!!! I love The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!!! I really don't like scary movies at all (too much childhood baggage), so this hit me perfectly!!! Thanks, Karen....fun!!
Allison
Hocus Pocus for me. This was a very accurate quiz! Amuck Amuck Amuck!
Thera
Me too!
More amuck amuck amuck!!!
CarrieJ
'Scream' for me. Totally hits the nail on the head. Great work! (*Candy did not list candy corn. Would this have changed profiling?) ;) Thanks so much for the fun!!!
Karen
It was a choice between rockets and candy corn when I was making the quiz and ultimately went with rockets. I don't like either of them, lol. ~ karen!
Mary W
Perfect description of me - and I did like Hocus Pocus. Not a big fan of terror - I live with memories of my teens.
Shelagh
Thanks Karen…that was fun…Ghostbusters!
Karen
You're welcome! ~ karen
Meg
Oh fun, got the Exorcist. I love that movie. So creepy. And now, as with other online quizzes, I must waste more time to see what other answers I could get.
Also, WHO WOULD ANSWER HUMAN TEETH!? Maybe step away from your computer, go to your local police station, and turn yourself in.
Meg
(as I select human teeth, to see what other answers I could get)
Karen
LOL! ~ karen
DJ
OOOH the Exorcist. I love a good demon possession movie, but I have somehow never watched this one. I'm taking it as a sign that I have to watch it before the spooky season is over!
Karen
After doing the quiz I've committed myself to watching Ghostbusters again. SUCH a good movie. ~ karen!
Sabina
The Exorcist?!? I mean, I know I am a Gemini but, The Exorcist??? I think not, lol.
kelly
The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. I know, so vanilla.... The last Halloween party I attended I went as a pregnant 50's housewife, and my husband was a milkman. ; )
I miss putting my kid's costumes together. Those grandchildren can't get here fast
enough!
Grammy
Ha! Mine was the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, and that is the only Halloween movie I've ever seen. So, right on. I don't like creepy movies. When I worked, I often won the office Halloween costume contests because I really enjoyed putting together great costumes and fooling people, but I've been retired for 20 years and don't really have any occasion to put that kind of effort into it. I carve jack-o-lanterns and hand out candy to the ever-diminishing number of children who trick-or-treat on my street, but Halloween's different from when I was young. Everybody seems to take their kids to Halloween parties and haunted houses and very few go door to door.
Carrie Anne
Of course it would be Ghostbuster! I am a child of the 80's after all!!
So...."who YOU gonna call?" 😲👻👹
PS like the idea of the white pumpkin with the black gaping mouth and I just so happened to have grown some.
Thanks!
Karen
You're welcome! Happy pumpkining! ~ karen
Karen
Really!? They're still out in the same numbers here. The only difference between when I went and now is the quality of candy and the fact that more groups of parents tag along, with a drink in their hand and a wobble in their step. ~ karen!
Kootenay Kat
Holy Halloween Batman! It was right on! Hocus Pocus. Matches my warped little mind and laughing at inappropriate comments (because I was thinking that very same thing). Good job Karen!!
Algonquin man
Only leaving a comment because 1. Karen rules and 2.mine is the first. Thanks Karen for helping me lol with each and every post. Ps. I’ve not done any crafts in 50 years and don’t plan to start.
Randy P
Mine came out 'Scream'? I dunno, never watched the franchise. Don't much care for the 'slasher' type flix. Seen enough blood and gore in real life. I'm a bigger fan of 'Hubie Halloween', the 'Scary Movie' spoofs, the original classics Frankenstein, the Wolfman and Dracula and the like. Does the Wizard of Oz count? Let's not forget Abbot and Costello Meet....... now I'm pining for some candy corn. lol
Algonquin man
Damn Randy
Karen
You came very close. SO close. Honestly it takes an Olympian type effort to beat Randy to a comment. ~ k!
CarrieJ
'Scream' for me. Totally hits the nail on the head. Great work! (*Candy did not list candy corn. Would this have changed profiling?) ;) Thanks so much for the fun!!!
Carrie Anne
Oh man! Love Abbot and Costello meets the mummy!!
Oldie but goodie for sure!
Donna Griffith
That movie traumatized me as a little girl… haven’t watched it since! Maybe I should to stop my recurring nightmares🤣
Karen
Donna! It traumatized me too! I watched just a censored version of it on TV when I was in grade 6 and it still haunts me. ~ karen!
