106 Iranian films submitted to Fajr film festival
TEHRAN â The Fajr International Film Festival has received a total of 106 submissions for the national competition of its 42nd edition, the organizers announced on Monday.
Among the entries, 51 come from first-time filmmakers who are eager to make their mark in the industry alongside established names, ISNA reported.
The festival's secretariat is currently reviewing the submissions for compliance with regulations, and only qualified films will proceed to the next stage of evaluation by the selection committee, the report added.
The chosen films for the Iranian cinema competition section will be announced after the committee completes its review from December 6 to December 26.
The 42nd Fajr International Film Festival is scheduled to take place in Tehran from February 1 to 11.
