By filtering out Bogon IPs using our no cost Bogon Reference Community Service, you'll significantly reduce the risk of DDoS attacks and malicious traffic, ensuring a more robust and reliable network.
Ensure Network Integrity:
Bogon IPs are invalid for public internet traffic. By filtering them, you ensure that only legitimate traffic flows through your network, improving its overall integrity.
Stay Updated for Maximum Efficiency:
The landscape of Bogon and Full Bogon IPs is ever-evolving. Use our real-time BGP sessions to keep your lists current, optimizing your network's defense mechanisms.

Network Knowledge:
Before undertaking bogon filtering, understand its implications thoroughly. It's crucial that you know your network and the effects of such filtering.
List Dynamics:
The bogon lists, especially the full bogons list, change frequently. Ensure your filters are regularly updated to avoid inadvertently blocking legitimate traffic.
Peering Configuration:
Ensure you're capable of multihop peering with a private ASN. Misconfigured peering sessions, particularly those that route bogon packets to us, will be terminated to maintain our service quality.
Capacity:
Be prepared to accommodate up to 100 prefixes for traditional bogons and up to 250,000 prefixes for fullbogons.
Updates and Maintenance:
Aggressive ingress and egress filtering requires consistent maintenance. We offer various formats and methods for receiving updates, ensuring you have the latest data at hand.
