Marian Frances Woodruff
Marian Frances Woodruff, age 77, of Temple, Texas, was born into eternity December 20,2024.
Marian was born September 16,1947 to Henry and Rayma (Clark) Woodruff in Watervliet, Michigan.
Marian grew up in Coloma, Michigan and graduated from Coloma High School in 1965. She attended Lake Michigan College to obtain her L.V.N. license in 1967. She then went on to receive her R.N. She started her nursing career at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor, Michigan. In 1973 she moved to Texas with her parents and started her career at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. She worked in Pediatrics for many years but eventually changed to couplet care, working with newborns and their moms. She loved being a nurse!
She was forced to take early retirement in 2007 after an accident that caused spinal cord injury. Although she was retired, she would tell you, “Once a Nurse always a Nurseâ€
Marian was preceded in death by her parents and brother Danny (Woody) Woodruff of Camby, Indiana.
Survivors include her sister, Milie Woodruff Jones and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be 10:00AM-11:00AM, Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1401 W. Central Ave., Temple, Texas 76504, with memorial service beginning at 11:00AM.
