Pet owners will be offered an opportunity to get free animal vaccinations at an upcoming Tahlepaws event.
On Saturday, Nov. 16, pet owners can bring their dogs and cats to Anthis Brennan Sports Complex from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, while supplies last, to receive free rabies vaccines and dewormer. Free pet food will also be distributed.
Dogs can receive a DHPP vaccine, which will protect against distemper, hepatitis, parvo, and parainfluenza. For cats, the FVRCP vaccine is available; it protects against viral rhinotracheitis, feline calicivirus, and feline panleukopenia.
Cats must be placed in carriers, and dogs must be leashed.
Parked assistance is available for those who cannot walk, and those who have multiple animals. All others are asked to walk up to receive services.
