Other new hires include Melinda Decker, VCSC deputy treasurer effective July 1; Dhazia Jones as an aide for Tecumseh-Harrison Elementary grades 3-5 special education; Audrey Spradling as instructional assistant for Tecumseh-Harrison Elementary K-2 special education; Sharon Green and Celia Hicklin at Francis Vigo Elementary as functional skills instructional assistants; Caylee Yochum at Benjamin Franklin Elementary as a classroom aide; Lisa Roach and Mary âBethâ Garberick at LALC as classroom assistants; and Jazzman Barnett as an aide at Riley After School Daycare.
The VCSC board agenda also listed a number of routine trainings that Greg Parsley, superintendent, said they provide as a corporation based upon different curriculums that they use so that âincoming people or new hires have as much training as humanly possible to the curriculum, in addition to the procedures that we follow and operate within.â
{p class=âx_MsoNormalâ}{span} â{/span}In a lot of school corporations these trainings are voluntary so they would never be run through the board, but in our case, we are able to provide compensation for the trainings, so the result is because compensation is provided, they must formally be approved,â Parsley said.
