In 2023, Germany was the leading country in Europe for portfolio allocation to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) funds. In Germany, ESG investors who were aware of their portfolio’s ESG allocation stated that 51 percent of their portfolio consisted of sustainable investments. The United Kingdom ranked second, with a 50 percent allocation to ESG funds.
