Get ready for science thrills at our annual Science Spooktacular. This is a no-cost, candy-free event packed with Halloween-themed festivities for the entire family.
Enjoy a themed experience at the Science Center as you navigate your way through the different galleries. Make sure to experience a chilling science demonstration down at the Energy Stage.
This year we’re incorporating all-new special events for adults, for families and even for toddlers to Science Spooktacular!

Jack O’ Lantern Jamboree
Join us on Saturday, October 26 @ 5:30 p.m. for a spooktacular Halloween Family Night filled with magic, dinner and creative thrills.
Enjoy a delicious dinner, participate in fun crafts, and enjoy an enchanting private magic show. Your little goblins will be in awe as they watch a professional pumpkin carver transform pumpkins into jaw-dropping masterpieces.
Boo Bash
Join us on Sunday, October 27 @ 9 a.m. to start your eek!-end morning with a boo-tiful breakfast bash perfect for families with little ghouls and goblins.
Enjoy a delightful continental breakfast, then sit back for a private magic show that will make your kiddos’ eyes light up with wonder. Afterward, let their creativity run wild with a fun Halloween craft.

Have you noticed all the amazing pumpkins around the Science Center? They are from our Illinois Farm Bureau partners at Pumpkin Blossom Hill pumpkin patch in Red Bud, IL. When you register for either the Jack O’Lantern Jamboree or Boo Bash Spooktacular events at the Science Center you will go home with your very Pumpkin Blossom Hill pumpkin!
