Portal to the Public is a communication training program for scientists, technology professionals, and educators across the country who are dedicated to encouraging public interest in current science research and innovation. Developed by the Pacific Science Center, the Portal to the Public framework has been adopted by more than 50 institutions nationwide, including the Saint Louis Science Center.
Through Portal to the Public, professionals in science and technology are trained to communicate and interact with the general public about their current work. By providing this training, the Science Center is able to break down communication barriers between scientists and the public, giving the St. Louis community access to science professionals and the science happening in their own backyards.
