Case Individual Learning

Study Steel and Co. is one of the largest steel manufacturers in their country. However, due to
a drop in demand for steel, the company has no choice but to merge with another
manufacturer.

Jaime is the manager of manufacturing at Steel and Co., and he has been assisting his
department with transitioning through the change whilst still trying to keep the
department profitable as is required from the senior managers. Jaime is under a lot of
pressure and is starting to feel burnout.

Read the section in the textbook regarding how leaders can sustain themselves through
change. Make recommendations for Jaime based on:
