This can take some getting used to if
you have only ever read English

Doodle Fiction is more text heavy than Manga and
Graphic Novels, and closer to prose fiction than comics
in format. We'll, the drawings and pictures are made to
help enhance the story, to add humorous elements
that will help to attract/make it interesting for the
readers or viewers. An example is Doodle Dog by Eric
Seltzer and Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.

FICTION
Flash fiction is a genre of fiction, defined as a very
short story. While there is no set word count that
separates flash fiction from more traditional short
stories, flash fiction stories can be as short as a few
words (while short stories typically run for several

Give It Up!
Franz Kafka
It was very early in the morning, the streets clean
and deserted, I was walking to the station. As I
compared the tower clock with my watch I realized
that it was already much later than I had thought, I
had to hurry, the shock of this discovery made me
unsure of the way, I did not yet know my way very
well in this town; luckily, a policeman was nearby, I
ran up to him and breathlessly asked him the way.
He smiled and said: “From me you want to know the
way?” “Yes,” I said, “since I cannot find it myself.”
“Give it up! Give it up,” he said, and turned away
with a sudden jerk, like people who want to be alone
3 with their laughter. 4
