Defining draft, peg plan can be done numerically or directly drawing on point paper. Simple to use cut, copy, paste, mirror tools etc are supported. Weave book manages library of weaves and provides controls for creating complex weave structures by combining weaves. Advanced auto weave generation facility provides for creation of different design effects within the same draft order while changing the Lifting plan. Auto weave insertion facility available for integrating dobby effects directly onto a design in ornamentation or extra warp mode.

Simulation is further enhanced by using yarns created or scanned directly into the library. The yarn editor allows you to work on parameters such as twist, colors, thickness, etc to generate chenile, fancy, slubs, melanges, twisted, and all types of yarn effects. You can vary the different parameters of a design or edit the design and observe the result instantaneously.
Design Jacquard Computer Aided Manufacturing
Compatible auxillary modules for electronic jacquards like Bonas, Staubli, Grosse, etc enable transfer of design details in the electronic form. Easily configurable cast out facility for defining hooks which have been reassigned from thier normal position in your harness ends. Graphical and easy to use interface. User can define a basic casting sequence which can be replicated across the harness or user specified range, with a single click. Casting files can be saved enabling management of different harness arrangements within the same shed. Weft selector, cramming, terry, fringing can be defined in the function file. Variable weft density can also be specified in the electronic function file. Graphs can be printed for manual card punching, or the design information can be transfered to Electronic Card Punching machine for punching hard card / continous paper punched cards.

Print simulations at the click of a button that look so good you have to touch to be sure theyre not real fabric. Knits has all the drawing tools you would expect from the best graphics packages, but because it also thinks in terms of stitches and repeat, it has all the tools you could want for these too. As the basis of your design, you can import an image in 256 colors created in almost any other graphics program. You can also use an image scanned from photographs or sketches and processed using the Color Separation module of TUKAstudio. You can then change the colors at will. You can import any number of motifs to a motif base, and add them to your design at will. Whats more, you can create and modify motifs within Knits and then export them again. If terms such as gauge and course count are second nature to you, you can set the parameters for your project directly. If not, Knits takes care of all the technicalities, allowing you to modify your knit visually, using a life-size simulation, to obtain precisely the form you want.

Set of tools that are user friendly are provided, for the task of generating grids and selections can be done with multiple options such as freehand, rectangular, etc. Multiple grids can be created for different segment areas to provide for the mix and match creations. Facilities to edit the mesh have been provided to give the finishing touches to the image authoring so that the final output exacts to your imaginations.
