• Some of the equipment used in Animation
is very costly but as a student, we can
create our Do it Your Self (DIY) Light Box
using simple steps.
Light Box Animation
• Light boxes use LED technologies to illuminate
fabric or rigid panel graphics that are housed
within outer frames to create visually exciting
displays that are instantly visible, even when
used in spaces with low levels of ambient
lighting.
Purpose of a Light Box
Animation
• A light box provides an evenly lit surface backlit
by LEDs to allow artists to transfer or trace an
image from one piece of paper on the bottom
to another piece of paper on top of it. Artists
from across the centuries have used equipment
to allow them to transfer an image on to
another surface.
• he main purpose of an artist light box is to
provide a uniformly lit surface that allows artists
to see through layers of paper or other
translucent materials. The LED lights embedded
within the box create a bright and even
illumination, making it easier to see and trace
images.
Light Box
The clean-up stage is where all the rough and reworked
drawings of the animator is carefully redrawn, neatly
and accurately.
