DEFINITION

a method to explore and discuss in-depth nursing problems


that occur in patients. Carried out by primary or associate
nurses, counselors, heads of rooms, and the entire nursing
team and other health workers such as physiotherapist,
laboratorist, radiologists, nutritionist, by involving patients
directly as the focus of activities.
Importance of nursing round

– It generates the following condition:


– Reduction in patient falls
– Decrease call light use
– Enhance nurse satisfaction
– Increase patient satisfaction
– Improve the knowledge and professionalism of nursing staff
FREQUENCY
• Nursing rounds can be carried out daily, --> in order to
obtain information during the handover led by the team
leader,
• Weekly  rounds carried out by selecting patients which
aim to increase the achievement of nursing care without
specific cases and led by the head of the room,
• once a month  the round which led by the head of the
nursing section.
