Asking for directions (menanyakan arah)

 How do I get to …? Bagaimana saya bisa…?


 What’s the best way to …? Apakah cara terbaik untuk…?
 What’s the quickest way of getting to…? Apa cara tercepat menuju?
 Where is …? Di manakah…?
 Can you tell me the best way of getting to…?
 Bisakah Anda ceritakan cara terbaik menuju…?
Giving Direction (menunjukkan arah)
 Go straight on (jalan terus)
 Turn back/Go back (kembali)
 Turn left/right (belok kiri/kanan)
 Go along (silakan jalan)
 Cross (nyebrang)
 Signpost (plang)
 Opposite of (berlawanan dengan)
 Near from (dekat dengan)
 Far from (jauh dengan)
 Between (antara)
 Next to (di samping)
 At the end of (terakhir)
 On/at the corner of (di pojok)
 Across from (seberang)
 Traffic lights (lampu lalu lintas)
 Behind (dibelakang)
 In front of, in back of, in the middle of (di depan, di belakang, dan di tengah)
 Take the first/second road on the left/right
 It’s on the left/right.. / (to) (on) the right/left of
 To be (is) located/situated
 (just) around the corner
Dialogue 1

These are example dialogue:


1)       Visitor  : excuse me, where is pediatric ward?
Nurse: Please go straight a head until you find ICU. Then you turn left Pediatric ward at left side.

2)  Visitor  : Nurse, I’m looking for Cempaka ward. How can I get there?
Nurse: you go along this corridor, then you find stairs. Then you move on second floor Cempaka
ward on right side of you

3)  Visitor  : I need to pay record out patient . Can you show me where the cashier is?
Nurse: Well, you can go straight a head here administration. The cashier next to admission department
beside on the pharmacy

4) Visitor  : Excuse me, I need go to polyclinic. Can you show me the way?
Nurse: Well, you must walk to through emergency until room, then turn left until you see Laboratory
area

5) Visitor  : Nurse, I must go to Radiology Unit. Can you tell me where radiology unit is?
Nurse: that is at beside build. You must exit then turn right. In right this build, you find radiology
unit
Dialogue 2

Man : Excuse me. Can you tell me the way to RST Bhakti
Wiratamtama Hospital of Semarang? 
You : Yes, sure. Turn left at the end of this street. 
Man : At the traffic lights?
You : Yes. Then go as far as the round about of Tugu Muda
Man : And after that?
You : Turn right at the round about of Christian institute.
You will find it in front of the school
Man : OK. Thank you
