YOU HAVE ALREADY READ…
HAS –
We use has when we talk about
one person , place, animal or thing.
It is also used with pronouns he,
she and it.

Example-
A bird has beautiful wings.
HAVE –
We use have when we talk about
more than one person, place,
animal or thing. It is also used with
pronouns I, you , we and they.

Example –
Elephants have long trunks.
USE OF HAD
We use had when we talk about
something that has already
happened. It is used with
pronouns I, we you, they, he, she
and it.
Examples –
• He had a pet last year.
• I had test last Monday.
• Rohit had fever yesterday.
• We had a big house when I was a kid.
FEW EXAMPLES -

1. Geeta had gone to Dubai


last year.
2. Last winter, we had heavy
snowfall.
3. I had to stay after school
yesterday for the practice.
4. Jack had lot of friends at his
birthday party last week.

5. Sam had lost his wrist watch


at the fair yesterday.

6. Vishakha had a beautiful


purse. Someone stole it
yesterday.
Remember…

Had is used in the past


form of a sentence.
