His investment strategies included only buying stocks that you understand, doing research such as percentage of sales and PEG ratio before investing, and investing for the long run. He authored several books on investing including in 1989 and 1993. He categorized stocks by earnings growth and situations when at Fidelity Investments. He provided examples of applying this categorization to Indian stocks such as Power Grid, Mahindra & Mahindra, Eicher Motors, and State Bank of India.
