On September 6, The Science Kick-off took place at the Multi-purpose hall , hosted

by Klent RG L. Sibi and Kristel Lyka A. Costan.

The objective of this event is to officially announce the start of the National Science
Club Month with a theme of “CLIMAQUEST: Forecasting Wind shifts, Charting
Climate Future” setting the tone for upcoming events, and activities during the
month. This opening is to promote science awareness and appreciation among
students especially to those science enthusiasts students that wants to participate on
various engaging activities that hosted by the Science Officers.The event aims to
encourage active participation in the Science Club, inviting students to explore the
exciting world of science through hands-on learning experiences.

The ceremony began with an opening prayer led by Althea Marie C. Tilos, the
Science Club Grade 7 representative, followed by the national anthem presented
through an audio-visual presentation. Afterward, the HNCHS DLBC Band performed
an “Opening Salvo,” energizing the audience for the event. The Science Club
President, Mechaela Judd R. Dango, delivered a welcome message, expressing the
importance of the science club in fostering curiosity and scientific thinking. Redel A.
Mangin, the Science Club Adviser, followed with a statement of purpose,
emphasizing the club’s role in promoting science education and participation within
the student body. Following the statement of purpose, an exciting live science
experiment was conducted by the Science Club’s P.I.O., Eyron James Baldomero,
and G11 representative Mhyrl Rhean Cacho. Their hands-on experiment captivated
the audience, offering an interactive learning experience, highlighting the importance
of curiosity and experimentation in science.

The event continued with a message from the school principal, Vicente P. Balbuena,
P-II, who emphasized the significance of scientific inquiry and innovation in shaping
the future. He encouraged the students to actively participate in the upcoming
science-related activities and reminded them of the importance of curiosity and
continuous learning. Following his inspiring message, Principal Balbuena officially
declared the opening of the National Science Club Month, marking the start of a
month filled with educational and exciting science events. After the formal
declaration, the audience was treated to a cultural intermission by the Hugyawan
Dance Troupe. Their performance, “Hiraya,” portrayed the concept of imagination
and hope, seamlessly blending artistic expression with the event’s scientific theme.
The ceremony concluded with a solemn closing prayer led by Marim Jesse M.
Ratonel, the Science Club Protocol Officer, who prayed for a successful and fruitful
celebration of National Science Club Month.
The event concluded successfully, igniting enthusiasm for National Science Club
Month. The live science experiment engaged the audience, promoting hands-on
learning and curiosity. The speeches, particularly from the school principal,
highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation, aligning with the theme
“CLIMAQUEST: Forecasting Wind Shifts, Charting Climate’s Future. Intermissions by
the HNCHS DLBC Band and Hugyawan Dance Troupe added energy and cultural
depth to the program.

The event left a positive impact on everyone who attended. It successfully sparked
interest in science, especially with the live experiment, which showed how learning
can be fun and interactive. The speeches reminded us of the importance of working
together and being curious, especially when it comes to solving big problems like
climate change. The performances added a creative touch, making the program
more lively and engaging. Overall, the event helped inspire students to get more
involved in science and think about how they can contribute to a better future for the
planet.
