Summary

Most cannot believe that the most popular cheerleader in school would be interested in a
wallflower.
There cannot be a possible connection between the two - that is, most would assume.

So to cater some curious ponderers, Hermione has drafted a 10-point guideline on what is on
the need-to-know basis if one ever wants to the Fleur Delacour - HB of Hogwarts High
School

Fleur Delacour was an enigma.

She was a blonde goddess who captured the hearts of many with a passing glance but broke
them just as easily with a single sneer.

For some reason, Fleur was capable of making every person question their worth whenever
they entered the same space as her. People levelled their own pros and cons to figure about
where they stood in comparison to the French woman, almost as if her approval made or
broke one’s standing at Hogwarts High.

And in some twisted kind of way, it kind of did.

Hermione would not claim that she is someone spectacularly special. She was like every
other sophomore trying to survive in the horrorfest known as high school. She has lived in
the town all her life and she has grown up with her best friends ever since kindergarten. They
laughed, cried, and fought with one another like siblings but in the end they all stayed united
with one another through the school year.

She was nothing like Fleur Delacour. Where Hermione was hometown homebody, Fleur was
the French exchange student who over dominated every social event upon family’s arrival to
the town. Where Hermione was a bookish wallflower who was a part of the debate team,
Fleur was the Hogwarts Cheer Captain leading the cheer squad through three championship
victories in a row. Where Hermione was the top of her year solely through grades alone,
Fleur Delacour was the established Queen B of Hogwarts Highschool – the ‘it’ girl who had
it all and was the subject of envy to all.

Fleur was an object of desire to all. Be it romantic interest (which was of no surprise) or
platonic envy – Fleur was the ultimate to anyone.

And when the two of them started dating, Fleur had once again turned the whole school
upside down on a whim, something which amuses her to this day.

Hermione still recalls the piercing gazes of the gawking student body as they watched Fleur
help Hermione out of her silver Mercedes-Benz and lead her towards the school building
with laced hands. While Fleur was used to being the centre of attention and ignored the
stares, Hermione thought that she was going to evaporate from the nerves that only increased
as shocked murmurs began surging through the school like a tsunami.

It was breaking news at Hogwarts High – Fleur Delacour being taken off the market by a
nobody like Hermione Granger.

To this day, Hermione finds herself the subject of investigation and, at times, advice on how
to obtain a beauty like Fleur, but Hermione did not have a real answer for anyone. It just
happened and given the time she has been with the blonde; Hermione has learned many
things about her girlfriend which is not privy to the public – despite some of it being known
to their inner circle.
If Hermione had to provide any advice linked to her girlfriend; it would not be of how to woo
her but rather a guide on how to maintain a relationship with the enigmatic Queen B. Because
their current content state did not come easily, as the brunette peel back the persona of the
French girl to find her real side, and of course, to love her during the tears.

So, to make things short, here would be the 10-step guideline that one should follow when
dating Hogwarts High’s HB: Fleur Delacour.

1) Always remember that she is a Delacour

First and foremost, one must always remember that Fleur is a Delacour and is righteously
proud of it.

Fleur has no shortage of confidence or pride, given all of her achievements through the years
before and after her family’s arrival to town. With her mother being a fashion designer and
her father a successful businessman, there was no shortage of money in the Delacour
household, which presented multiple opportunities for both Fleur and her younger sister to
train and flourish under the guidance of tutors and coaches to excel in their respective fields.

Fleur was an excellent athlete and academic, being both the top of her year while being
captain of the cheerleading squad. Under her captaincy, their cheerleading squad has won
competitions and championships alike, with Fleur consistently earning multiple awards for
her own athletic prowess and innate talents. And to the dismay of the long-term teenage
scholars that grind nights away for their perfect results, Fleur has maintained her perfect
grade score through all the years and has never been knocked off her number 1 spot in the
year rankings despite the repeated efforts of her so-called ‘academic rivals’ through both
subtle and volatile attempts of downplaying the blonde’s intelligence and achievements.

To Fleur, they were nothing but troublesome bigots who could accept the fact that there was
someone better than them – a comment which Hermione had to bite back on due to being one
of those scholars herself, albeit in a lower year so she was fortunately spared from being
brought into the comparison and not directly affected by the blonde’s achievements.

But the point still stood that Fleur was an incredibly proud individual and regarded the
Delacour name as being the most important aspect of her life – likely due to its connection to
her family.

Despite the arrogant persona of superiority that Fleur instilled at school – her irrevocable love
for her family was transparent. Fleur attended every single tennis game and track meet that
her younger sister Gabrielle participated in, being the loudest cheerleader for the younger
blonde that was both embarrassing but adoring at the same time.

Hermione has borne witness to the older blonde serving as Gabrielle’s personal assistant in
pre-game rituals, massaging her sister’s legs and shoulders before leading the two of them in
a subdued game chant which was not privy to the ears of anyone else, not even to their
parents or Hermione. During the whole game, Fleur will have her eyes locked on her sister
and not engage in any conversation unless it was related to her sister in some way, displaying
her absolute devotion. And at the end of every game or race, Fleur will be the first to sweep
her sister into a hug, raining praises and kisses on the younger’s forehead before producing
water and snacks as a reward for effort and achievement.

Her relationships with her parents were also spectacularly close. Before the blonde received
her driver’s license, both Fleur’s parents would drop their daughters to school in her father’s
Rolls-Royce, affection openly shared between the four as both Apolline and Theodore
Delacour would kiss and hug the two blondes before waving them off for the start of school.
And donning almost every wall in the Dalcour’s home are pictures of the family throughout
the years – ranging from Apolline and Theodore from their youth to the Fleur and Gabrielle
as they made more memories in their new home.

Whenever Hermione would visit the Delacour residence, the first thing Fleur would do was
to seek out her mother for a greeting, paying the younger girl no mind as she dutifully
followed the blonde until she located her mother, sharing a warm greeting with the designer
before allowing Hermione to greet her mother in turn. And when her father would eventually
arrive home from work, he would receive a similar treatment from the blonde, the two
mirroring always donning identical smiles as they greeted one another before turning back to
the younger girl in the room.

When the two of them had first started dating, Fleur was adamant for Hermione to meet her
parents as soon as possible. While Fleur was obviously free to date whomever she wanted,
her greatly sought for her parents’ approval of her partners – so Hermione found herself
being dragged to a family dinner in the Delacour residence shortly after they became official,
an event which was nerve-wrecking to both girls. Despite her confidence that her parents
would adore Hermione, the blonde was still nervous about her parents’ thoughts on Hermione
and had kept a tight grip on the brunette’s hand during the whole ordeal.

Fortunately, Hermione passed the Appoline and Theodore approval test with flying colours,
with an extra bonus from Gabrielle who had been telling embarrassing stories about Fleur
during the entire dinner much to the dismay of the older blonde but to the amusements of
others.

Hermione could almost be regarded as another part of the Delacour family, something which
has been noted by several relatives of the blonde whenever there were family gatherings.
Fleur was always adamant for Hermione to attend, be it so that she could keep the blonde
‘occupied’ during moments of boredom but also so that Fleur could apparently flaunt off the
brunette to everyone in the family despite Hermione’s embarrassment.

Fleur’s arm is always permanently secured around Hermione’s waist, a proud smile fixed on
her face as she would brag about some of Hermione’s achievements to whichever relative
was present, pointedly ignoring Hermione’s flaming cheeks and attempted chides for silence.

“-she completely shattered the stage with her answer. No one could say a word, and the
imbecile who thought he could beat her was-“

“Fleur, please stop talking!” Hermione pleaded, her cheeks hot in embarrassment as she tried
to silence her girlfriend from further bragging about Hermione’s recent victory in a debate, of
which she had been a fixed attendee. “No one needs to hear about it!”
“On the contrary mon couer,” Fleur turned to gaze at Hermione, eyes gleaming. “c'était
magnifique, and I will tell everyone about it, so they are aware how perfect you are.”

“I am not perfect!”Fleur silenced Hermione with a kiss, uncaring of the company as she
whispered against Hermione’s lips after a few moments.“Pour moi, tu es.”

2) She’s affectionate

Maybe is it due to French heritage, but nonetheless, Fleur’s affectionate nature is an aspect of
the relationship which Hermione had learned to compromise with but also endure.

Hermione did not have much experience in the dating pool aside from two relationships, one
short-lived summer fling with Bulgarian exchange student Viktor Krum and one half-a-year
situationship with Lavender Brown, something which both girls decided would be best to
leave in the past due to their friendship, but also due to ongoing interests and relationships
with their current partners.

So, Fleur was Hermione’s proper first exposure to a developed relationship and Hermione
was at first taken aback from the amount of affection the blonde would push onto her,
especially in public settings. Fleur had no qualms against PDA, in fact, she often would like
to test the limits of both audiences and of Hermione respectively, a mischievous side not
known to most due to her usual iciness linked to her public persona.

Be it when she is picking Hermione up to go to school or for a date, the first thing Fleur does
is to sweep Hermione into a kiss, hand cupping Hermione’s cheek to keep her close while the
blonde gets her fill. While she does flush at the action, it was a welcome action to Hermione,
along with the consistent holding of hands the two of them would do whenever they were in
close proximity. Walking Hermione to class was very normal, the student body parting for the
two of them like the red sea, still in a state of amazement of the couple despite the longitude
of their relationship. But while Hermione has gotten used to the stares and have learned to
ignore them whenever she walked hand-in-hand with Fleur, she still fails to ignore them
when they are the result of the show that Fleur loves to put on when she slams Hermione
against her locker for an impromptu make out session when she feels deprived of affection.

It was not like Hermione wasn't affectionate with the blonde, she was just a lot more reserved
and the time and place did determine the degree of Hermione’s affection towards the blonde –
which Fleur found to be completely unacceptable. Fleur found no problem in pressing her
body against Hermione’s in public, arm wrapped around the younger girl’s waist and a hand
cupping her neck while her lips expertly slanted over Hermione’s for a passion-filled kiss. It
is always unexpected, the brunette having her locker door slammed shut before she is turned
around and pressed against it in a matter of seconds, unable to utter a single argument
because Fleur would already have her lips occupied. And due to her superior strength,
Hermione could hardly push the blonde away, having no choice but to endure the affectionate
attack until the blonde grants her the opportunity to breathe, a kindness she does not always
offer.

Of course, the spontaneity of Fleur’s affection is an aspect of the relationship which has been
both compromised and endured, courtesy to Fleur’s natural need to display and receive
affection and Hermione’s own inexperience with relationships. While she adored the blonde,
she did not take kindly to practically being devoured against her lockers in front of the entire
student body, which the blonde bleakly learned to accept – although she had quickly found an
alternative through pulling the younger girl into storage closets or empty bathroom stalls
when presented with the opportunity.

The brunette’s had at first picked up a fuss but then soon relented because she soon began to
enjoy the rush that came with the rendezvouses, to become lost in Fleur’s lips while tangling
her fingers in golden locks while Fleur entirely enveloped Hermione’s body with her own,
relentless in her affections. While her attendance record has become slightly affected and she
now experiences a newfound humiliation from her friends knowing looks when Hermione
arrives late to class, Hermione cannot help but find herself content with consequences of her
choices, as it is still worth it when being with Fleur. But while Hermione has learned to
endure the affectionate side of her girlfriend in public, there is not much Hermione can do to
influence the older girl when the two of them are alone.

When it is just the two of them, Fleur’s affection increases tenfold. Fleur yearn for touch is
compulsive and uncontrollable, be it the blonde laying directly on top of Hermione whenever
they are watching a movie in the living room or her hands slipping under the brunette’s shirt
when they are getting hot and heavy in one of their bedrooms. Of course, the blonde will stop
if Hermione commands it, as she has every time the brunette got a bit overwhelmed with the
affection – but Hermione has learned that physical touch was simply the blonde’s love
language and it was a requirement in a relationship.

In the beginning of their relationship, Hermione did not quite understand the blonde’s
excessive need for physical touch and displays of affection. But since she has witnessed her
family’s interactions with one another and open expression of love shared between Apolline
and Theodore, she realise that it was simply the way Fleur had experienced and adored. The
French were open with their expressions for love and Hermione learned that it was simply the
way Fleur expressed her love and desire for the younger girl, which warms Hermione to her
heart this very day.

So while she does still blush sometimes at the random kisses that Fleur will steal in public
and private, along with the naughty hands that tend to slip past boundary lines, it is a part that
that Hermione had grown to love about the blonde. Fleur never fails to make Hermione aware
of the effect that she has on her but all well as its returning factor – the fact that Fleur openly
accepts any affection from Hermione with glee. Inwardly and externally, the blonde melts
into the brunette’s embraces preens under the girl’s whispered praises, curling her arms
tightly around the brunette while snuggling into the crook of Hermione’s neck.

While the party downstairs continued to rain on despite the hostess’s absence, Hermione was
the welcoming victim to Fleur’s onslaught on affection, lips pressing heatedly against her
neck while the older girl guided the brunette backwards until her back of her knees hit the
bed. Upon falling backwards on the bed, Fleur immediately straddled Hermione’s waist,
dress hiked dangerous high as Fleur settled on top of her. Fingers were tangled in chocolate
curls while Hermione had a tight grip on the blonde’s shoulders, tilting her head up to meet
hot lips while she was pressed down entirely against the mattress.
This was a very familiar position to the younger girl, one of Fleur’s favourites as she had the
ultimate control over the brunette with free access to her body and lips. Hermione had
already forgone her jacket ages ago due to the insistent dances she was pulled into in the
Delacour’s living room, which Fleur took advantage of due to a hand escaping Hermione’s
hair nest to instead slide under the brunette’s shirt.

Hermione immediately gasped at the blonde’s warm touch, stomach muscles unconsciously
flinching at the contact as Fleur lightly raked her nails over the skin before her hand made
contact with Hermione’s chest. Her lips sucked hard at Hermione’s pulse point as her hand
gripped at Hermione’s clothed breast, her bra serving as the final barrier to the wandering
hand. Her fingers were clenching hard into Fleur’s shoulders, a sleeve already falling off due
to Hermione’s fierce tugging during the entire embrace, smooth skin taunting the younger
girl’s eyes with teasing promise.

Fleur released her pulse point with a tender kiss before nipping along Hermione’s jaw to
reach her ear, panting heavily while her body lightly trembled above her.

“Is ‘dis okay?”

The lilt of Fleur’s accent immediate sent heat through Hermione’s body as she shuddered at
the sound of the blonde’s voice. Despite adapting well to the English language upon her
arrival to the town, Fleur’s French accent did tend to appear at odd times of the blonde
speech – usually when she was either emotional or deeply comfortable.

And in this context, Hermione was very aware of which one it was.

So with a very quick nod, Hermione moved her hand to clutch at the back of the blonde’s
neck to return her lips to her own, immediately deepening the kiss which caused the blonde
to groan before she returned the affection tenfold. Anything linked to the party evaporated
from Hermione’s mind as she arched into the blonde’s touch as she slipped her hand the
brunette’s bra to finally hold her. Her arms wrapped themselves tightly around the blonde’s
neck while Fleur continued to do wicked things with her tongue to make the younger girl
completely succumb to her, body sandwiching the brunette between the mattress to destroy
all space between them.

3) She can be childish

Despite being the older one between the two of them, having a two-year age difference, Fleur
can be a complete child at times.

Fleur does naturally have a playful nature, which results in Hermione often being victim to
some of the blonde’s pranks and shenanigans that result in her having a near heart attack
which the blonde rectifies with giggles and kisses. But Hermione has discovered the levels of
pettiness that Fleur contains which she would not put past a child but to Fleur – she would
expect better.

Hermione recalls a time when she had ended up babysitting her younger cousins for the day –
a five- and seven-year-old respectively. And since the three of them had been locked up in the
house for a while, Hermione had decided that a trip to the mall would be beneficial.
Hermione had opted to go on the bus with her younger cousins, but a sudden phone call from
Fleur had caused a change in plans.

The blonde had originally intended to invite herself over to Hermione’s house, but when she
was informed of her girlfriend’s babysitting duties and desire to go to the mall, Fleur
immediately volunteered herself to drive the four of them. Hermione tried to refuse the offer,
not wanting to impose on her girlfriend, but the blonde would have none of it. She simply
informed her of the expected arrival time before hanging up , leaving the younger girl to
prepare her cousins for the oncoming trip.Soon enough Fleur had arrived in her car, and after
a quick kiss in greeting, she helped Hermione buckle in her cousins before heading off in the
direction of the closest mall.

Everything was fine as they arrived and allowed her cousins to sprint ahead of them in
wonderment of the shops and sightings in the building, Hermione and Fleur walking hand-in-
hand as they monitored the two boys. When the two boys suddenly spotted a playhouse in the
entertainment section of the mall, they immediately donned pleading puppy-expressions,
turning to Hermione and all but begging the brunette to let them in.

And Fleur agreed wholeheartedly without consulting the brunette, going as far to pay for the
entry for the two boys, much to their happiness. As the two sprinted off to play on the various
contraptions, Fleur’s hands curled around Hermione’s waist and pulled her into the blonde’s
body, a mischievous smile on her face. Hermione immediately narrowed her eyes.

“What are you planning?”

“Nothing much,” the blonde innocently stated, though one her hands travelled slightly
downwards, just trailing the curve of Hermione’s rear. “I just think that since we have them
distracted for a bit, we can head off somewhere more…private.”

Fleur had whispered the last word in her ear and had just enveloped the blonde’s earlobe in
her mouth before Hermione quickly pulled away, a restraining hand on the blonde’s chest
while Hermione glared at her.

“I am not abandoning my cousins just to go snog with you.”

Fleur’s pout was comical and exaggerated, along with the disappointment in her eyes she as
she tugged Hermione back into her personal space, resting her forehead against the younger
girls while holding her closely by the waist.

“But why?” She whined. “It will be fun!”

“For you or me?”

“For the both of us.” Fleur husked lowly, leaning in to steal a quick kiss but also to rest her
lips against Hermione’s. “Whatever you may say mon couer, I know you love kissing me.”

Hermione couldn’t deny it. She did, and Fleur knew it, so when Fleur kissed her again, she
didn’t even fight back. She instead wrapped her arms around the blonde’s neck to return the
kiss, earning herself a pleased hum from the older girl as the two continued with the embrace.
But as the they parted and Hermione opened her mouth to talk, they were interrupted by her
older younger cousin.

“Hermione, can you come bounce with us!”

Hermione followed her cousin’s pointed finger to the large blue bounce house which was in
the play area, where her other cousin was already happily bouncing with some other children.
Hermione smiled at the enjoyment on her cousin’s face and turned to answer before Fleur
once again beat her to it with a dismissive snort.

“Hermione is much too old for something like that.” Both Hermione and her cousin turned to
the blonde with a frown, Hermione in annoyance of the blonde answer for her while her
cousin in bewilderment and anger.

“No, she is not! She bounced with us last time at my birthday party!”

“So what? When you were your brother’s age?”

“It was last month!” Her cousin exclaimed, stamping his foot defiantly as he glared at Fleur.
“Don’t be jealous just because you can’t fit in a bounce house anymore, you big stupid-
head!”

“Excusez-moi?”

At Fleur’s bewildered exclamation, Hermione released her in order to address her cousins for
the comment, frowning heavily as she knelt down so that she was at his level.

“Hey now, that is no way to talk to Fleur. You don’t go around calling people that.”

But her cousin stamped his foot and glared at Hermione while pointing at the blonde, cheeks
flushing red in anger.

“But she is being a stupid-head! Just because she is too big and slow for a bounce house
doesn’t mean that you are!”

“It doesn’t matter, you can’t call her-“

“Who are you calling too big and slow for a bounce house?” Fleur suddenly interrupted,
stepping closer towards the two cousins with her arms crossed, blue eyes fixed in an icy
glare. But with no effect on her cousin, met her gaze with a fiery glare of his own.

“You, you big stupid-head!”“Henry, stop calling her-“

“I’ll have you know that I can bounce you, your brother, and every single child in that bounce
house through the roof if I wanted to.” Fleur stated, proudly tipping her chin upwards, an
arrogant sheen in her eyes. But instead of backing down from the statement, Henry crossed
his own arms and titled his chin upwards challengingly.

“No, you can’t!”

“Yes I can.”

“No, you can’t!”

“I can!”

“You can’t!”

“’ittle boy, I am ‘elling you right now that you will never be able to bounce again once I am
in ‘dere.” Fleur growled, bending over to locked glares with her cousin, face-to-face and
electricity pulsing between the two. Henry huffed and stamped his foot in defiance.

“Prove it.”

And those two words brought out the end to the argument and all Hermione could do was
bear witness to her girlfriend paying entrance for the two of them before stomping off
towards the bounce house with Henry on her heels, pushing her sleeves to her elbows as if
she was getting ready for a fight.

“Oh, sweet deities’ above.”

Hermione murmured to herself, shaking her head as she entered the playhouse and watched
as her fully grown teenage girlfriend leapt into the bounce house like a solder entering a
battle field, immediately initiating a bouncing war among all the occupants in the bounce
house. And for the next two hours, Hermione sat in the seating area and watched her
girlfriend thrash the children in all of the games and obstacle courses available in the
playhouse. She sprinted through the jungle gym, raced across the trampolines, and
completely dominated a tag team race and soccer match before diving into the game of hide-
and-seek by hiding in the ball pit.

When they eventually decided to head back home, Hermione couldn’t stop staring at Fleur
from the passenger’s side after the blonde finished buckling in her passed out younger
cousins as they slept in the backseat and settled in the driver’s side. Fleur looked at her
innocently.

“What?”

“…You’re a child.”

“How?!”

“You know how.”

4) She is super competitive

Be it getting into a competition with her younger cousins or in cheerleading, Fleur is

incredibly competitive and aims to win at all costs.
While Fleur may pretend that she doesn’t care about the ranking system at Hogwarts,
Hermione knows that she is righteously proud of her number 1 spot and aims to maintain all
through to her graduation. To be honest, it was a matter of pride to the blonde, but Hermione
relented in the blonde’s demands for the brunette to test her during study dates despite being
in different years. However, Hermione ends up learning a lot more complex content which
will benefit her in her later school years, so she did not mind her role in the blonde’s
mediocre preparation for exams.

But in terms of cheerleading, Fleur was an absolute monster. Before she even became
captain, Fleur strived for excellence and given her natural athletic prowess, Fleur easily
became one of the most crucial and stellar members in the team. Be it at cheerleading
championships or sport games, Fleur leads the team to success through her excellent
leadership, but also innate desire to defeat the other teams.

“A Delacour never comes second.” Her girlfriend usually says, a confident smirk in place as
she hugs the brunette closely to her during a break, pressing a soft kiss to her hairline. “We
will always get our results.”

But while Fleur was competitive with her academics (which she pretends not to be) and
cheerleading (which was super obvious), she is also quite competitive with their relationship
– or rather, competitive in outdoing whatever affectionate gestures Hermione may receive
from others.

Don’t get her wrong, Fleur is very secure in her relationship with Hermione. It did not take
much convincing for Hermione to agree to be Fleur’s girlfriend shortly after the annual Yule
dance at Hogwarts. While Fleur had agreed to go with Roger Davies after very public request
in the middle of the cafeteria during the lunch hour, and Hermione with Ron as friends after
he had unfortunately been rejected by nearly any other romantic interest he had in the year –
the night ended up with Fleur kissing Hermione in an empty classroom when the two of them
escaped the school hall for some peace and quiet.

While normal teenage anxiety does creep up on Hermione to make her question why
someone like Fleur would be with a loner like her, she has improved the security she had in
her relationship Fleur – which only increases with the blonde’s competitive antics with her
friends.

Headmaster Dumbledore was particularly fond of incorporating holiday events at the school,
so Valentine’s day would be held in a high regard in terms of decorating and incorporating
the spirit of love in the school building. Student delivery services and singing telegrams were
particularly popular features during the holiday and Hermione also made sure to send a single
rose to each of her friends in the spirit of Valentines day.

Hermione smiled as she surveyed the classroom while Professor Binns droned on about
Medieval history, noting the students that were rereading cards that were delivered to them
from either partners or friends, along with sneakily eat some of the candied chocolates that
were also delivered. The rustling crinkle of paper as Harry unwrapped a chocolate frog was
less than subtle, but the dark haired boy smiled cheekily at the brunette’s raised eyebrow
before he took a bite, crumpling up the wrapper before slipping it into his pocket.
“Eat too many of them and you’ll get sick.” Hermione teased, making Harry scoff.

“Yes mom, sorry.”Hermione elbowed him in the side, prompting his to nudge her back with a
grin before suddenly both their head snapped forward when they head the door of the
classroom slam open, two students dressed as pink cupids with fake angel wings walking into
the class with wide smiles, one holding a guitar and the other with a long peace paper in the
shape of a scroll.

“Apologies for the intrusion professor” the one holding the guitar said with a half-hearted
apologetic tone, “We are here to make a very special delivery.”

Mr Binns looked at them blankly before sighing and shrugging, the two fake cupids already
being the fourth set of delivery services that have interrupted his class already. Everyone
snickered at the professor’s reaction before eagerly turning back the cupids in anticipation for
the delivery, curious of the recipient. Hermione sat on the edge of her seat in curiosity, her
hands subtly trailing to the rose on her own table which had been delivered to her earlier that
morning from Ginny, along with a box of homemade chocolates from Ron hidden in her bag
– courtesy from Mrs Weasley who was renowned for her excellent homemade chocolates she
made every year for Valentine’s day.

“We are here to make a lovely lady positively swoon from a very special gift which has been
ordered.” The scroll angel swoon, winking at two girls at the front of the class before clearing
his throat before he read from the scroll. “So please have your heart opened and receive the
love sent to you…Miss Hermione Granger from a very special Fleur Delacour!”

Hermione’s eyes widened in surprise at the announcement of her name, and even more so
when she heard her girlfriend’s name. The scroll cupid nodded at the opened door and
Hermione’s jaw all but dropped when she saw the massive bouquet of roses being brought in
from a supposedly third cupid, only it was hard to see them given how large the bouquet was,
its beautiful red buds surpassing the cupid’s head.

All eyes were on Hermione as she sat frozen in her seat as the third cupid stumbled their way
over her desk, apologising as they tripped over bags before finally slamming them down on
top of Hermione’s books, a sigh of relief escaping their lips as they offloaded their burden.

“T-Thank you.” Hermione stuttered, cheeks suddenly becoming warm as she felt everyone’s
eyes on her as they watched her delivery, the cupid nodding while wiping at their forehead
before heading back to the front where the guitar cupid cleared his throat.

“And to top off this magical delivery, I am to deliver a very loving song telegram from our
cheer captain to you Miss Granger!”

“Oh gods, kill me now.” Hermione muttered to herself, self-consciously covering her cheeks
as the guitar cupids strummed a few notes before opening his mouth to sing.

“To you my love, are my great delight

The flower to my garden – my every sight

Be it by every moon and day

You side is where I want to stay

Where there is a Bonjour, your face is all I see

Never Au revoir – as you complete me”

Harry immediately started snickering at the start of the singing telegram, hiding his face in
his arms that hardly muffled the sound, prompting a few of her other friends to do the same in
return. Hermione was certain that her face resembled that of a tomato with how hot she was
feeling, unable to make eye contact with anyone as they listened to the guitar cupid. After
completing the telegram, the cupid flashed her a bright smile before nodding to his two
fellow cupids to dramatically bow towards Hermione before simultaneously shouting: “Fleur
wishes you a very happy Valentines Day Miss Granger!”

“Y-Yes, thank you!”

Hermione hastily thanked the three cupids before ducking her head into her bouquet of roses,
hoping they could all just envelop her from this sheer embarrassment she was feeling.
Harry’s laughs only got louder and all she could do was glare at the boy, but since her was
completely flushed, Hermione doubted that she appeared even an inch of intimidating.

“What? Not like you present?” He teased, making Hermione glare at him even harder.

“Did you know about this?”

“Since when does Fleur ever share her plans with us? She would hate to be outdone by any of
us – that that it is even possible.”

Hermione had no response to that, knowing the truthfulness of it due to the blonde’s
determination to show off her relationship to her friends even though she knows they had no
interest at all in the brunette. Hermione simply whined to herself and turned back to her
bouquet, some of the roses teetering on the edge of the desk.

“So…” Harry started, mirth shining in his eyes as her smirked at Hermione’s red face, “I
guess Fleur has already swept you off your feet for today?”

“…I don’t even think this is the worse of it.” Hermione groaned, bashfully twirling one of her
many roses in her hands as she heard Mr Binn’s bored voice begin again, trying to gain the
attention of the class again as if it was only a mild in-class interruption that occurred – not an
outrageous expression of love delivered by one of his student’s girlfriends.

And Hermione was later proven correct later in the day, as Fleur eventually did approach the
brunette in the hallway with about eight pink helium balloons with a red letter on each one,
spelling out: I LOVE YOU, along with a box of pastries which was from Hermione’s
favourite bakery. She was smiled proudly as she took in the younger girl’s bright red face and
kissed her soundly, giggling at the brunette’s hushed words of embarrassment before
embracing her and praising the blonde’s red appearance, pointedly ignoring her friends who
bore witness to another affectionate sight of the couple.

5) She gets jealous easily

Between the two of them, Hermione expected herself to be the most jealous between the two
of them. It is to be expected – Fleur is drop dead gorgeous and is still the most yearned for
girl in the whole of Hogwarts High despite her relationship status. People did not suddenly
stop wanting Fleur whenever she got into relationships and Hermione is aware that if she was
not careful, Fleur could be snatched at way at the click of a finger. And it was not like it hasn’t
been attempted. While the two of them would be together, people would come up and start
flirting with Fleur right in front of Hermione. Of course, the blonde brushes them off
immediately, making it very clear that she was taken by wrapping an arm around Hermione
and sweeping her into a kiss, but the principle of it still hurts.

Hermione is aware that she is not as beautiful as the blonde, despite the countless counter-
arguments her girlfriend has towards the statement, along with her friends, but Hermione
cannot help but compare her appearance to that of her girlfriend. Where Fleur had smooth
pale skin without a single mar, Hermione’s was tanned and freckled at random places. Where
Fleur had long straight platinum hair that looked as soft as angel wings, Hermione’s was
curly and brown, which at most times a wild mess. Fleur’s body was that of a model, and yet
Hermione felt so…regular in her own.

It was like comparing chalk and cheese, and it was something that she was self-conscious
about.

But Fleur makes sure that Hermione is aware that she thinks she’s beautiful. Fleur kept the
brunette’s wrists pinned to her side as she kissed along Hermione’s bare stomach, pointedly
kissing each freckle on the skin which Hermione was self-conscious about. Hermione
squirmed as Fleur journeyed up her abdomen, breath hitching until blue eyes were gazing
done at her, love and affection swirling as Fleur released one of her wrists to instead cup her
face.

“Tu es la plus belle chose que j'ai jamais vue dans ma vie."

Hermione’s understanding of Frech was basic at best, given her previous interest in language,
which only improved after her relationship, but she knew enough to understand the blonde’s
words and she couldn’t help but flush red at the praise. Fleur’s eyes gleamed before they
closed to savour the kiss the blonde pressed to Hermione’s lips, tongue easily slipping past
Hermione’s barrier’s before making her succumb to the passion.

Fleur’s own bikini clad body pressed itself against Hermione’s. the feeling of Fleur’s bare
stomach pressed against her own made Hermione flinch, her blood pumping to her head
while goosebumps flashed along her body which she had no doubt Fleur could feel. Fleur’s
low giggle immediately told Hermione that the blonde as already aware of her effect on the
brunette, but it did not stop the older girl from enveloping the brunette in another kiss, only
pulling away which air became a necessity.
As both of them panted, Fleur occupied her mouth with Hermione’s neck, peppering slow
kisses along the column of it while Hermione subconsciously dug her nails into the blonde’s
shoulders as she tried to catch her breath back. Fleur hummed as she pressed an open mouth
kiss to her girlfriend’s neck, teeth teasing the surface.

“Tu es parfait.” She lilted, the words burning against her skin before she moved to press
another to the brunette’s neck. And while Fleur was always sincere in her compliments,
Hermione couldn’t help but shake her head. Her fingers flexed against Fleur’s shoulders as
she felt the blonde’s teeth tease her skin as she journeyed to her pulse point.

“Fleur, I am the furthest thing from perfect.”

“Non,” The blonde immediately said, pulling away to stare down at the young girl, eyes
resilient. “You are exactly that. Parfaite, in every single way.”

Fleur leaned down to capture Hermione in another passionate kiss, one which she
immediately responded to, but as the blonde pulled away again, Hermione couldn’t help but
self-consciously shake her head.

“I’m nothing like you Fleur.”

“You don’t need to be.” The blonde said, leaning down to press a kiss to the corner of the
brunette’s lip before moving to kiss her cheek. “You are better than me in every way.”

“But I’m-“

“Parfaite.” Fleur pressed several kisses to her forehead, peppering the skin in affection while
a hand slowly began to trail down the brunette’s side, slipping between their two bodies. “If
only you could see yourself in my eyes…you’ll understand why I love you so much.”

While the blonde has confirmed her love so many times, Hermione’s couldn’t help but flush
at the blonde’s words, only to gasp when she felt the blonde’s fingers slow slip under her
bikini bottom. Fleur pressed a kiss to her nose, breath slightly shaky before a confident grin
smeared itself across her face as she stared down at her younger girlfriend, similar to a lion
gazing down a young gazelle.

“Allow me to remind you just how much I love you.”

And with Fleur being so open with her love for the brunette, Hermione finds herself no
longer feeling the need to be jealous whenever she saw the blonde engaging with others.

But when it came to Hermione, she found that any arguments the two have regarding
jealousy mainly stems from brunette’s inability of seeing herself through Fleur’s eyes – an
flaw which unfortunately sparks the green-eyes monster from the older girl.

From all her experiences at school, aside from her two past relationships and Fleur, no one
has really expressed any sort of romantic interest towards Hermione, hence why she was
incredibly surprised to find a bouquet of roses in her locker.
“Ooh, Fleur wooing you again, I see.” Ginny joked, eyeing the red roses in amusement while
Hermione inspected the card attached to the roses. She immediately frowned.

“I would think the same thing, that is if these were from her.”

“Huh, what do you mean?” Ginny asked, eyebrows furrowing as she stepped forward to look
at the card.

“This isn’t Fleur’s handwriting.” Hermione stated, eyeing the little love message which was
written on the card.

To Hermione, you are my one. I hope these flowers will bring you a ray of happiness, just like
you smile is my sun

Ginny lowly whistled as she read the message.

“Well, I can give your secret admirer a little credit for the poem.” Hermione scoffed.

“This is not a secret admirer. They clearly made a mistake.”

“Right…and there are how many Hermione’s in our school?”

Hermione couldn’t help but scowl at Ginny’s knowing look, unable to provide a counter
argument. She looked back at the roses, thumb gently nudging the wrapping paper around the
stems before sighing. She offered them to Ginny.

“You take them.”

“What? Why?”

“Because I don’t want them.”

“But they are for you! I can’t just take some roses that were hand-delivered to you!” Ginny
emphasised, only to make Hermione scoff again before she tried pushing the bouquet into the
redhead’s hands.

“They weren’t hand delivered; they were snuck into my locker. Illegally, at that.”

“Oh please, Fleur has snuck stuff into your locker plenty of times.”

“That is because she has my spare key. But this is not from Fleur, therefore, I don’t want
them.”

“And I don’t want them either! Even if they were from Fleur, I still would not-“

“If what was from me?” The sound of Fleur’s voice immediately made both girls’ jump in
surprise, both whipping their heads to see the blonde’s cocked head as she walked up behind
them with a raised eyebrow. Ginny clutched at her chest, leaning her shoulder against the
lockers on her side.
“And just like Beetlejuice, she appears.”

“I am not sure how I should take that mademoiselle Weasley.” Fleur said snootily, flashing
the redhead with an annoyed stare before turning her head to the red roses Hermione was still
holding her hands. Hermione immediately tensed when she saw the blonde’s slowly raised
eyebrow and turn of her head to gaze at her.

“And what might these be?”

“Uuhh…flowers?”

Hermione ignored Ginny’s blatant wince at her awkward words as she was more focused on
the sharpening gaze of her girlfriend as she glanced down at the flowers, lips tightening in a
straight line before she suddenly reached out to inspect the card attached to the bouquet,
perfectly manicured fingers keeping the piece of paper captive.

“…”

The blonde’s silence was becoming suffocating in its brief span of seconds, both younger
girls glancing at one another as they waited for the blonde’s response.

“Umm, you know, let me toss them out, I really don’t know who they are from so I think I’ll
just-“

A hand on her wrist stopped Hermione in her tracks as she attempted to pull the flowers away
from the blonde’s scrutiny, making her tense as she followed the restraining hand to her
girlfriend whose eyes were gleaming wickedly, although not in the playful context she is
familiar with.

“Non, ‘dey are gorgeous flowers. It ‘ould be a waste if you just tossed ‘dem out.”

Fleur’s French lilt usually did do wonders to the younger girl, but the younger girl couldn’t
help but wince as she could hear the restraint in the blonde’s voice, a burning bonfire
simmering within the lean body. Fleur released her wrist to only grab the flowers from her,
bringing them to her face to give them a mild sniff before a flashing a cold smile.

“I am sure that monsieur Lee would love to have ‘dem back.”

Hermione gazed at her girlfriend for a moment before gasping.

"Wait…you think Jordan sent these?”

Hermione could not comprehend the thought. Jordan Lee was one of her fellow debate
members, vice-captain of the club in fact, along with Fred and George’s best friend.
Hermione has always gotten along with him, given her constant presence at Ron’s home. But
she couldn’t really believe he would send her something like flowers and a love note. But
looking at Fleur’s conviction in her eyes, some doubt suddenly began to cloud her thoughts.

“I know he did.” Fleur answered, turning to face her. “I know ‘da fools handwriting.”
“Oh shit.” Ginny suddenly quipped, fist covering her mouth as she stared wide-eyed at the
couple as realisation dawned on her. “I remember seeing him with roses earlier this morning,
Fred and George was teasing him about them. I just didn’t think that they were for…”

Ginny trailed off and Hermione’s eyes widened in further shock while Fleur’s smile became
colder.

“All ‘de more proof of my findings.” Fleur turned to face Hermione again, eyes cold as the
space sky with a smile sharp like a dagger. “Now if you’ll excuse me, ma petite souris, I am
going to return monsieur Lee’s gift and remind him just what happens when you approach a
taken woman.”

Fleur then suddenly snapped away from them, briskly walking down the corridor with the
bouquet in hand, shoulders stiff and back straight before she disappeared in the body of
students. Seconds passed between the two remaining girls before Ginny snapped up and
grabbed Hermione’s arm.

“So…we going to go watch.” Hermione furrowed her eyebrows.

“Watch what?”

“Watch Fleur utterly pound Jordan into the ground?”

Hermione scoffed. “There is no way Fleur will do that.”

“Hermione, should I remind what happened when a guy from Gordonstoun tried to hit on you
during the home football game?”

The memory of that night immediately came to mind, making Hermione’s eyes widen and all
but spin around to chase after her girlfriend, hoping to make it in time before Fleur unleashes
the fury only French people are capable of on her debate vice-captain.

6) She is scared of thunder

It is a fear stemming from when she was a child, having gotten lost with her older cousins
during a camping family trip in a forest at night during an intense thunderstorm. While her
parents and aunts managed to eventually locate the missing children, Fleur developed an
intense fear of thunder ever since.

And even today, Fleur still struggles with it.It is a complete broken-open moment of
weakness for Fleur whenever there is a thunderstorm. It is a fear she is ashamed to admit, and
it is the worse for her whenever it is during a football game or cheerleading competition.
Fleur almost physically breaks down, reverting to that young child who cowered in her older
cousin’s arms while they tried to protect her from the raging forest as it was whipped about
by wind, rain and lightening.

It was a fear Hermione had purely found out by accident, before the two of them were even
dating as Hermione had come across the cowering blonde during a break from the football
match as the game was pulled to a stop due to lightning alarms. Everyone else was crowded
near the field, but Hermione had retreated further into the school to find a bathroom which
wasn’t overcrowded by attendees.

And that was when Hermione found Fleur Delacour in one of the half-closed bathroom stalls,
literally cowering as the thunder raged above the school building.

At that stage, Hermione had not interacted with the blonde much. She could hardly call the
two of them acquaintances. But as she saw the tears on the blonde’s usually impeccable face
with bloodshot eyes and unravelling hair from her ponytail, the brunette’s heart went out to
the older girl. Hermione found herself joining the blonde on the bathroom floor, covering the
blonde’s legs with her own jacket as the cheerleader uniform hardly offered much warmth
while Hermione pulled the blonde into her arms.

Fleur did not say anything, instead she curled into the younger girl’s arms and held on tightly
to her shirt, not letting go and only flinching as the thunder continued to make its presence
known. Hermione did not say much, she was certain Fleur couldn’t hear anything passed the
thunder, but she comfortingly stroked the blonde’s back and remained on the floor until the
storm eventually passed, or rather eased up enough for the game to continue.

Fleur didn’t say anything to her when she eventually was in control of herself again,
bloodshot blue eyes avoiding eye contact from the brunette as she attempted to fix her
appearance at the bathroom sink. Hermione also didn’t know what to say, self-consciously
rubbing the side of her neck as she watched the blonde hustle at the sink.

“…I won’t tell anyone, if you’re worried about that.” Hermione eventually said, making the
blonde pause in her movements. Hermione gazed at the blonde for a moment before reverting
to the floor. “Not that anyone will listen to me. But…I promise I won’t say a thing. I’m sure
this…is something you don’t want others to know about. So don’t worry – I won’t say a
thing.”

Hermione expected a response from the blonde but go nothing. Instead, she heard the tap get
turned on again with the sound of splashing, informing her that Fleur was continuing with the
fixing of her appearance. While she could have left, Hermione awkwardly hovered against
the bathroom wall as the blonde continued with the objective before finally deeming herself
appropriate enough to return to the field.

The older girl head towards the door and Hermione kept her gaze on the floor as the blonde
walked past her, but then…the blonde paused. Hermione saw her feet slowly turn towards
Hermione, making the brunette raise her gaze to see Fleur gazing at her with an unreadable
look.

“…’ermione,” The blonde said, the French lilt to her name. “That is your name, yes?”

Hermione suddenly stood to attention, offering her a small nod. Fleur blinked slowly, cocking
her head to the side as her eyes slowly trailed up and down her body before locking gazes
with the younger girl again. Hermione swore she saw a slither of a smile form on Fleur’s face
but just as she blinked, the blonde turned and exited the bathroom.
To the brunette, she thought that was the rare interaction she would have with the blonde
again. But when she was approached by the blonde that following Monday, it was only the
start of many more – of which led to Hermione becoming that sole source of comfort to the
blonde aside from her family.

Hermione pressed a tender kiss to Fleur’s forehead as she trembled in her arms, face
snuggled in the crook of her neck as the storm raged outside. The bed lamp glow being the
only source of light in Hermione’s bedroom to be present to the tender embrace of the couple.

“It’s okay Fleur, it’s okay.” She whispered, pressing another kiss the blonde’s forehead while
she gently massaged the back of her girlfriend’s neck as she held her, legs entwined and
keeping the older girl close under the blankets. “I’ll keep you safe.”

Fleur didn’t verbally respond, but the tightening of her grip around the brunette’s waist and
the appreciative kiss on her neck was all Hermione needed to know that her actions were
treasured. Not many knew about this secret about the blonde and Hermione had no plans to
let others find out.

7) She is a perfectionist

Perfection is most likely Fleur’s favourite word due to her determination to achieve it. Be it
her studies, cheerleading, or party-planning, Fleur will only accept the best – which leads to
most becoming victims of her perfectionism

And with Hermione being her girlfriend, she is often pulled into the blonde’s request for
perfection, as well as saving her many victims.

Hermione doesn’t even flinch anymore when she finds herself getting dragged towards the
football field where cheerleading practice takes place. She hears her girlfriend before she
even sees her, shouting orders to her fellow cheerleaders to perfect the routine she has made.
When Hermione arrives, she couldn’t help but smile when she sees the focused expression of
her older girlfriend, her gold and red uniform looks spectacular as usual on her toned body
while she rests her hands on her hips while staring down the pyramid of her cheer mates.

“You need to support the structure! Keep you grips firm on the shoulders!”

“You have to save us Hermione, she is going to kill us.” One of the cheerleaders said, having
escaped the blonde’s wrath in order to locate the brunette in an attempt to ease their captain’s
wrath. Hermione huffed a laugh.

“You know that Fleur will never end a practice early, not even for me.”

“Yes, but she will at least give us a break while you tell her how nuts she is being.”

“I would never have the courage to tell her that.”“You’re right – you’ve called her worse.”

Hermione stuck her tongue out to them but dutifully started heading towards the
cheerleaders, slowly noticing the barely restrained exhaustion from the others as they
tenaciously followed Fleur’s instructions. The blonde was so focused on her team that she
didn’t even know that Hermione was there until she felt the brunette’s hand on her arm.

The blonde’s face was fixed in a scowl when she turned to face her interruption, but the
second she recognised her girlfriend, she immediately smiled and wrapped the younger girl in
a firm hug. Hermione rubbed the blonde’s back before pressing a kiss to her cheek.

“Working hard?”

“Always”

“And you know what people need when they are working hard?”

“What?”

“A break. Come on, just for ten minutes.”

Fleur pulled away from the brunette, arms still wrapped around her waist, and eyed her
girlfriend warily, calculation traveling in her head.

“…But we need to perfect this routine…”

Hermione smiled.

“I’m sure they will perfect it on the first try after they have a break. Just give them ten
minutes, along with yourself.”

Fleur pursed her lips, blue eyes glinting in the sunlight before she sighed and leaned in to
steal a kiss from the brunette.

“You are your silver tongue.” She whispered before turning to the team. “Alright, water break
for ten minutes!”

Hermione giggled at the simultaneous sighs of relief from the whole team as they all
collapsed for the pyramid and laid sprawled on the floor in exhaustion. Fleur scoffed at the
sight and wrapped her arm around Hermione’s shoulder before leading her towards the
bleachers.

“They are so dramatic.”

“They only follow their leader by example.”

“You take that back!”

Hermione just stuck her tongue at her offended girlfriend before pressing a kiss to her cheek
to tend to the blonde’s ego.

“Don’t worry, your routine go perfectly as usual.”

“Can you expect anything less?” Fleur said proudly, pulling the brunette into her lap once she
took at the seat at the bleachers, wrapping her arms tightly around the younger girl while
pulling her back completely against her chest. Hermione covered the blonde’s hands with her
own.

“When it comes to you? Never.”

8) She loves flirting with Hermione

Most people would say that Fleur’s first language would be French, but Hermione says
otherwise. It is flirting – with her, most particularly.

Hermione swears that Fleur only does it because it makes Hermione blush. The blonde takes
some vindictive pleasure out of making the younger girl resemble a tomato, especially in a
social setting where she knows she holds all the cards. The pleased smirk that curls along her
lip is infuriating – along with the mock-innocent tone she would use whenever she would
question the reddening cheeks of the younger girl. And it was not like Hermione would be
able to escape the situation because Fleur would make sure she had some sort of way to keep
the brunette trapped, be it with an arm around her waist and her seating being strategically
against a wall with no escape route other than having to move in the blonde’s direction, who,
of course, will not let her leave.

And to make matters worse, her friends are of no help in the situation. In fact, it is the time
when her girlfriend and them get along with each other most, bonding over their favourite
hobby – annoying Hermione.

“Just what wicked thing did Fleur just say to make you blush to red?” Ginny questioned with
a teasing smile, a wicked glint in her eyes as she took a sip from her soda while Harry sported
a matching smile from beside the redhead.

“Nothing privy to your ears Mademoiselle Weasley.” Fleur purred; her arm wrapped tightly
around the brunette’s waist while she nuzzled her nose against her jaw. “I assure you though,
it is something I plan to do later.”

“The movie hasn’t started yet and you already are wanting to make me throw up.” Ron
quipped as he walked back into the living room with two full bowls of popcorn, a disgusted
expression in place. “Get a room already.”

“…Are we not already in one, Monsieur Weasley?” Fleur cocked her head and smiled,
raising an eyebrow challengingly at the red head. “If you are disturbed, you are free to leave.”

“You are in my house.” Ron grumbled, only to get pelted with a pillow from his sister.

“Our house jackass, and no, they’re staying. Let them be cute.”

“I already have to deal with you and Harry! You two are disgusting enough!”
“If you are so bitter mate,” Harry started, wrapping an arm around Ginny with a wide grin,
“Then you can go find yourself a girlfriend and be disgusting together with all of us!”

“You tasking him with something difficult.” Fleur said, pressing a kiss to Hermione’s temple
before threading her fingers into her brown locks and started massaging her head. “Monsieur
Weasley is an acquired taste.”

"Oi! I’m not undateable!” Ron snapped, cheeks growing red while he glared at the blonde.
Fleur smiled leaned in to steal a kiss from a dazed Hermione, making her blink away from
the relaxing motions of the head massage.

“I never said you were; you simply will be…an interesting option.”

“Hermione!” Ron bellowed, making the brunette jump in her seat before fixing her gaze on
Ron’s blazing expression. “Tell your girlfriend to knock it off!”

“Well, I-“

“There are many things that Hermione has said to me,” Fleur leaned in to press a kiss to the
younger girl’s neck, smiling against the skin as she felt Hermione’s flinch at the affectionate
contact. “But very rarely is the word ‘stop’.”

Hermione’s blood immediately rushed to her face, her cheeks blazing like a volcanic inferno.

“FLEUR!”

“MY EARS!”

“Oh, this is only getting better and better!”

Ron ran out of the room with his ears covered with his hands while Hermione tried to dart off
the couch, only to be yanked back by a laughing Fleur into her lap, arms tightening like a
python as kisses were getting scattered along the back of her neck. Ginny was full-out
laughing into Harry’s shoulder, while the black-haired boy looked about as red as Hermione
while he sheepishly took a drink from his own soda, no doubt starting to feel some sympathy
for his best friend who was currently imprisoned in her girlfriend’s arms.

“You. Are. The. Worst!” Hermione snapped, attempting to wrestle Fleur’s arms off her, only
to be hugged even tighter. Fleur giggled in her ear before nipping at the earlobe.

“But also, the best you have ever had.”

“Fleur!”

“Admit it, I’ve ruined you for anybody else.”

“FLEUR!”The blonde only smirked at her reddening girlfriend, uncurling one arm from her
waist to move to guide Hermione’s face towards her. She leaned in and pressed a passionate
kiss to her lips, gently sucking Hermione’s lower lip before pulling away to whisper branding
words against her girlfriend.
“Don’t worry Mon cherie, you have ruined me too.”

9) She often butts heads with her friends

Perhaps it’s the difference in age and grades, or even nationality, but quite often Hermione is
the middle woman in arguments between Fleur and her friends. Well, rather between Fleur
and Ginny and Ron.

It’s not like they hated one another, it’s just the three of them knew exactly how to get under
one another’s’ skins. Ginny is naturally very spirited and independent, something which
made the two of them best friends in the first place – but also a bit protective, hence why she
was not exactly welcoming of Fleur joining their group after she and Hermione started
dating.

For the likes of her, and for Hermione, she could not understand why someone like Fleur
would suddenly want to be associated with people like Hermione and Ginny. They had the
odd occasions before of interaction, but none exactly pleasant, hence why became like her
mother in trying to protect Hermione from any heartbreak which could be caused by the
blonde, of who had taken the insult like a full slap to the face.

The verbal spikes Hermione has been forced to endure between the two are edging on
unbearable, especially when the two try to decide who knows what is better for Hermione,
which has actually resulted with her storming off in anger at the both of them. Of course they
apologize afterwards, but the exchange of quips almost never ceases.

Even after Hermione and Fleur started dating, the redhead will always find a way to annoy
the blonde – be it obnoxiously drinking something with slurps because she knows that Fleur
hates the sound or pulling a chair out from under the blonde whenever they are at social
gatherings. In some cases, the two have actually nearly gotten into a physical brawl, which
Harry fortunately was able to prevent by scooping Ginny away before she could make a
lunge at the blonde. And while she loves her best friend, she knows that her judo-skilled
girlfriend would easily win a fight if one broke out.

The main headache was between Ginny and Fleur, but the exchanges between Ron and Fleur
could almost be as bed due to Ron’s male pride and Fleur’s determination to crush his male
ego. While Ron is her best friend and she would do anything she could to help him, she will
admit that his views on particular things were…obtuse, and Fleur would only take delight in
shattering that obtuseness with cutting words and social game play which had a dual effect
with accordance with the redhead’s actions.

She recalls the one-time Ron had been haggling Hermione in trying to convince Fleur to set
him up with one of her fellow cheerleaders, wanting to live the classic high school cliché.
Hermione blatantly refused at the start, but just to ease her daily annoyances, she eventually
ceded into asking Fleur – of which the blonde took as an opportunity to teach Ron yet
another lesson to challenge his obtuseness.

Ron ended up being set up with one of the highest maintenance cheerleaders which he could
have ever asked for, the poor redhead having to cater to every single one of her demands
during the entirety of the date which Fleur had set up for the two of them while she and
Hermione canoodled in their own devices.

By the end of the night, Ron was much poorer than he was before he arrived for the date, and
when he was finally alone with the couple, he broke out into a massive tantrum, only to be
snapped into silence by the older blonde as she stared him down.

“You asked for a date with a cheerleader, I gave you one who I believed will do you some
good and teach you a view lessons on chivalry and care. If you are unable to pluck up your
own courage to ask a lady of your choosing, then you simply must deal with the apparent
handouts you expect me and Hermione to give. Do not blame us for your own inadequacies
when I gave you exactly what you wanted – a date with a cheerleader who was at least
willing to meet you.”

The blonde couldn’t be subtle in her distaste of something, and she has made that quite clear
with Hermione’s friends. Probably the only person she did genuinely like in the beginning of
their relationship was Harry, which was one victory Hermione could count on.

But despite the butting of the heads her girlfriend and friends have one another, they have
reached the stage of caring for each other’s well-being.

Out of all the people Ginny could have called the one evening when they had all gone to a
house party and ended getting drunk off the spiked punch, Fleur was the first contact Ginny
dialled, which was answer after the first two rings.

Hermione was slumped against Harry while Ron laid passed out on the grass, having
consumed the most out of the four of them. Her mind was fizzy and felt transported to a third
dimensional world but was being kept tethered to the solid ground below her, along with the
hand wrapped around her wrist by Harry, who was drunkenly singing to himself while
mimicking a dancer with his free hand on his thigh.Hermione couldn’t hear what was being
said between Ginny and Fleur, but it was a rather brief call which ended with Fleur hanging
up and Ginny turning around to face them, her eyes slightly hooded as she attempted to battle
of the alcoholic haze.

“Fleur is on her way.”

It took probably ten minutes before the blonde’s Mercedes came into view at the front of the
house, the blonde leaping out and hurrying towards them, wearing only a hoody and pyjama
pants which Hermione is very familiar with.

“You complete imbeciles!” She scolded, cupping Hermione’s face to inspect her with a
worried expression before moving her attention to Ron. “The four of you should know
better!”

“Jeez, stop sounding like my mom Fleur. We are fine, we just-“

“Ginny Weasley!” Fleur snapped, turning to the complaining redhead with blazing eyes.
“You brother is currently passed out on the floor, with your boyfriend and best friend lost in
their own worlds with no awareness of their surroundings! If I have to sound like your
mother to make you aware of the dangers you put yourselves in, so be it!”

Either she didn’t have the energy or was too drunk to do anything, Hermione simply
remained silent as she watched Ginny and Fleur carry Ron to the back of her Mercedes Benz
before returning to her and Harry to carry them to the car. Fleur continued to fret in French as
she guided Hermione to the passenger seat, pulling her seatbelt across her body before
pressing a small kiss to her cheek.

“Espèce de stupide, belle fille.” She grumbled before pressing another kiss to Hermione’s
cheek before closing the door and moving to the driver’s side.

After doing a final check with the other younger teenagers in the car, Fleur then drove off to
her home where she made the four of them sleepover, ensuring they had water and medicine
available by their bedsides, along with some buckets for emergencies. But even when
Hermione was settled in the blonde’s bed in pyjamas with a makeup cleaned face, Fleur
barely stayed in the bed with her as she was continuously waking up and moving to check on
the others as they slept. And the following morning, she had made sure that each of them was
filled up with pancakes, fruit and orange juice – along with a few scoldings from herself and
her mother.

So, while she does feign that she does not care about her friends, Hermione knows the blonde
well enough that she does to the a certain degree of admittance. And since they will be a part
of Hermione’s life, the blonde will make sure she stays in their good graces in order to keep
Hermione happy.

10) She loves Hermione

Fleur is wholeheartedly, devotedly in love with Hermione. It had been a concept that
Hermione has struggled to deal with in the beginning, but she has finally accepted the honour
and privilege of holding the French woman’s heart in her hands – in exchange of her own, of
course.

From the beginning, Fleur never hid her obvious affection for her younger girlfriend. Always
picking her up from her house to take her to school, holding hands in the hallways, buying
her random gifts and sneaking them into her locker for her find – Fleur wholeheartedly
commits herself to Hermione and their relationship, and Hermione returns the gestures
tenfold.

Hermione is aware of how she has changed since her relationship with Fleur. She was more
confident, forward, and more determined to see her goals through because of her literal
cheerleader being glued to her hip, being her number one supporter in all of her
decisions. And to make matters better, Hermione just finds herself being the happiest she has
ever been in her entire life.

The smile on her face never shrinks whenever she feels Fleur’s lips against her own, a
farewell kiss whenever they have to part from one another, followed with a tender ‘Je taime’
which would be responded with an ‘I love you’ from Hermione. During football matches and
cheerleading competitions, Hermione excitedly waits for the blonde at the field before her
performance to provide the good luck kiss the blonde demands every time, eagerly opening
her arms to the approaching cheerleader and embracing her warmly while Fleur gets her fill,
butterflies fluttering hurriedly despite the routine nature of their kisses.

But most importantly, and the most recently, Fleur’s love for Hermione has become even
more cemented with the golden ring which Fleur slid on the brunette’s finger. A matching
one laid in the ring box the rested between the girls on the picnic blanket, the fire crackling
on the beach while the stars laid witness the blonde’s gift as she stared lovingly into
Hermione eyes as she secured the ring on the brunette’s finger.

“I will take care of your heart for the rest of my life.” Fleur whispered, lifting the younger
girl’s hand to press a kiss to the golden band. “Take this ring as proof of my love for you mon
Cherie.”

“…How did I become so lucky with you, Fleur?” Hermione asked could loud, happy tears
forming in her eyes as she moved to cup the blonde’s cheek. “You are too good for me.”

But Fleur shook her head, covering Hermione’s hand with her own.

“Non, it is you who are too good for me, ma petite souris. You complete me.”

Hermione let out a wet laugh as the blonde pressed a kiss to her palm, slowly reaching down
with her other hand to pick up the remaining ring. She removed her hand from the blonde’s
cheek to instead grab her hand, raising it between them to slowly slide the golden band in the
delicate finger. Fleur remained silent throughout the process, eyes locked intensely on
Hermione as she too lifted the hand to press a kiss to the ring, slowly lifting her gaze to meet
those cerulean orbs.

“I promise I will always be by your side Fleur; however you want me to be.”

Wisps of tears formed in the blonde’s eyes from Hermione’s promise, which prompted the
younger girl to reach for her girlfriend and to pull her into a kiss. Fleur immediately wrapped
her arms around the younger girl, passionately returning the kiss initiated by her girlfriend.
Hermione curled her arms around Fleur’s neck and rhythmically moved her lips against the
blonde’s and did not fight the force as Fleur slowly guided her onto her back, the picnic
blanket saving her from the sand. Fleur pulled away for a breath, lips still grazing while her
closed eyes slowly opened.

“…And if that way will be my wife sometime in the future?” She whispered delicately, innate
soul in her voice as she gazed at her girlfriend carefully.

Hermione thought for sure that her heart would collapse at the suggestion, but it was
overpowered by the overpleasing warmth she felt at the thought, which prompted Hermione
to thread her fingers in golden locks, eyes shining devotedly at the blonde above her.

“Then I better start practicing getting used to being called Mrs Delacour.”
Fleur’s delight could be communicated in thousands of words, but Fleur simply pulled
Hermione into another kiss – the first of many more that all but confirmed the love and
promise that the couple rings the blonde purchased represented.Fleur loves Hermione – just
as much as Hermione loves her.

And that is all that anyone needs to know when it comes to dating Fleur Delacour.
