Welcome to your Summative Assessment!
This document deals with the summative assessment of your
competence towards the outcomes which you need to achieve.
“Summative Assessment is assessment for making a judgement
about achievement. This is carried out when a learner is ready to be
assessed at the end of a programme of learning” (SAQA: Criteria and
Guidelines for Assessment Policy Document, pg 26)
The following sections will outline all the required formative and

complete in order to be deemed competent in this module.

Assignment 1: HIV / AIDS Company Code of Behavior
Objective: Conduct research and gather information on your company’s current HIV / AIDS
policy. Study the policy carefully and check to ensure that the policy meets and complies with
the current regulations of the National Department of Health`s and deals with the irradiation
of the stigma surrounding HIV / AIDS in the workplace.
Instructions: Consult with relevant stakeholders / staff in your organization for assistance
and guidance where required.
Compile a brief summary of your findings from the analysis of the policy and present
this in the form of an informal presentation to relevant members of staff within your
department.
Write a short code of conduct which can used by staff to guide them through the
