Read the text and answer the following questions:
I have just come back from a school trip in Russia. It was for students who are
studying art or history. The day before we left, I had felt quite anxious. It was my first
time to travel outside my country. I was nervous about going to a country with a culture
so different from my own. It was a strange feeling.
In fact, I had the most amazing trip of my life. We arrived in Moscow at lunchtime
on the first day. That afternoon we went to Red Square and the Kremlin Castle. It really
brought my history lessons alive. Over the next two days in Moscow, we saw lots of
squares and parks, including the breathtaking St Basil Cathedral. At the end of the third
day, we took an overnight train from Moscow to St Petersburg.
I only slept for about thirty minutes because I was absolutely boiling. We tried to
open the windows, but could not. We arrived at St Petersburg at 6:00 a.m. It was even
more beautiful than Moscow. In the morning, we visited some beautiful squares and
general parks. After lunch, we went to the amazing Hermitage Museum.
The next day, our last day, we woke up in the morning and there was snow
everywhere. About 20 cm of snow had fallen overnight. The sky was blue and glittering.
I think Russia was the most beautiful place I have ever seen in my life.
