LEGAL AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE FOR HPE PARTNERS

By establishing a relationship with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, you enter a whole new world
of opportunities. However, you are also becoming a source of additional risks for us because
we might be held liable for actions of companies with whom we are doing business. Your
compliance is essential to us. This video provides an overview of legal, regulatory and
compliance requirements you need to understand and follow. This video is not a
comprehensive reference, after watching it please also consult the list of links below the
screen, for more detailed information.
Anti-Corruption Laws apply to you
Our business is subject to US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK Bribery Act
(UKBA), as well as applicable local anti-corruption laws. Those laws prohibit bribery in any
form. Our company has zero tolerance to bribery. And you also should not ever request or
accept bribes or kickbacks. Please be alert to corruption red flags, especially when dealing
with public sector organizations, or while conducting business in a country with a high
corruption risk, but also in any other situation where corruption risk is present.
You are also required to maintain business records that reflect the truth of the transactions or
events. This is a necessary condition for ensuring anti-corruption compliance. Not following
the business records rules might cause liability under anti-corruption legislation.
Liability for violating anti-corruption laws may include jail time, criminal or civil fines or
penalties, suspension or debarment and other measures.
Global Trade Laws
HPE and companies with whom HPE does business must also comply with U.S. import and
export controls and sanctions laws. Even if you are not directly subject to those laws, they still
apply to the items received from HPE (including software or technology).
When doing business related to exports -with HPE, your company agrees to comply with trade
laws and regulations and to implement an efficient process preventing any deals with restricted
parties. To ensure import compliance, you must follow Country of Origin rules and applicable
legislation. You also should be alert to possible signs of illegal imports, exports or re-exports,
incorrect classifications for trade purposes, lack of authorizations or similar risks.
Privacy
HPE and the companies working with HPE must comply with all privacy laws applicable to
them as a personal data controller or processor (such as GDPR, HIPAA) as well as their
