I have a small but beautiful garden behind my house. In my garden, I grow both vegetables and
flowers. The tomatoes grow in front of the fence, and the cucumbers are behind the tomato plants.
Between the vegetables, I plant carrots and green onions. I also have some sunflowers and roses.
The sunflowers are next to the gate, and the roses are near the walkway. I water my garden every
morning. I love spending time there because it makes me feel happy and relaxed. Would you like to
visit my garden and help me water the plants?

My favourite work of art is the Mona Lisa, painted by Leonardo da Vinci. It is a famous portrait
of a woman with a gentle smile and calm eyes. In the painting, she is sitting with her hands crossed
and looking at the viewer. The background shows beautiful mountains and rivers. I like this
painting because her smile is mysterious, and I always wonder what she is thinking. I also love the
soft colors and the way the artist painted her face. Finally, I like it because it is one of the most
famous paintings in the world.

My favourite work of art is the painting “Starry Night” by Vincent van Gogh. It shows a night sky

magical. I also like it because it shows how the artist felt, not just what he saw. Lastly, I enjoy the
way the stars shine brightly in the dark sky. This painting always makes me feel calm and inspired.

Kiến thức về đại từ bất định (inenfinite pronouns)

 Somebody, someone (ai đó), something (cái gì đó), somewhere (nơi nào đó) được dùng
giống như cách dùng của some.
 Dùng trong câu khẳng định và đi với động từ số ít (singular verb).
Ex: Someone has left their bag behind. (Có ai đó đã bỏ quên túi.) There's something in
my eye. (Có cái gì đó trong mắt tôi., We need to find somewhere to live (Chúng tôi cần
tìm một nơi nào đó để ở.)
 Dùng trong câu hỏi khi câu trả lời sẽ là “yes” hoặc trong lời mời, câu yêu cầu.
Ex: Has someone spilt water? (Có ai làm đổ nước phải không?) [Người nói nhìn thấy
nước trên sàn nhà và chắc chắn rằng cóngười nào đó đã làm đổ nước.]
Would you like something to drink? (Anh muốn uống gì không?)
 Anybody, anyone (bất cứ ai), anything (bất cứ cái gì), anywhere (bất cứ nơi nào) được
dùng giống cách dùng của any.
 Dùng trong câu phủ định hoặc câu nghi vấn và đi với động từ số ít (singular verb).
Ex: Has anybody seen my bag? (Có ai thấy túi xách của tôi không?)

 Nobody, no one (không ai), nothing (không gì)
 Có thể đứng đầu câu hoặc đứng một mình.
Ex: What did you say? - Nothing. (Anh nói gì thế? - Chẳng nói gì cả.) Nobody/ No
one came to visit me when I was in hospital.(Khi tôi nằm viện chẳng có ai đến thăm
tôi cả.)
 Được dùng với nghĩa phủ định: nothing = not anything; nobody, no one = not anybody.
Ex: She told nobody about her plans.[= She didn't tell anybody about her plans.] (Cô
ta chẳng nói với ai về kế hoạch của mình.)
I said nothing. [= I didn’t say anything.] (Tôi chẳng nói gì cả.) - Được dùng với động
từ ở số ít.
Ex: The house is empty. There is nobody living there. (Căn nhà bỏ trống. Không có ai
sống ở đó cả.)
Nothing ever happens in this town.
(Thị trấn này chưa từng xảy ra chuyện gì cả.)
 Khi dùng nothing, nobody, no one thì không dùng động từ phủ định.
Ex: I said nothing. [NOT I didn't say nothing.]
No one was at home. [NOT No one wasn't at home.] (Chẳng có ai ở nhà cả.)
 Everything [= all the things] (mọi thứ), everyone, everybody [= all the people] (mọi
người) là các đại từ số ít (tuy nghĩa đề cập đến số đông) nên được dùng với động từ số ít
(singular verb).
Ex: Everybody likes her. [NOT Everybody like her.]
(Mọi người đều thích cô ấy.)
