LESSONS LEARNED
My practice teaching internship was a trans-formative
chapter in my journey to becoming an educator. It taught me
lessons that go far beyond lesson planning and classroom
management. One of the most important lessons I learned is the
value of preparation and adaptability. Even the best lesson plans
sometimes require changes on the spot, and being flexible was key
to maintaining student engagement.
CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED
Challenge: Classroom Management: Maintaining discipline while
fostering a positive learning environment involves balancing
authority with empathy and managing different student behaviors
effectively.
Solution:
Student Misbehavior, Disruptions such as talking out of turn,
defiance, or lack of respect can hinder the flow of lessons
and distract others.
Disinterested or unmotivated students are less likely to
participate, leading to decreased classroom dynamics and
learning outcomes.
109
Solution:
One of the ongoing challenges, I faced s an educator was
keeping all students interested and motivated throughout
lessons.
Engaging all learners and be creativity a willingness to
adjust based on student feedback.
Solution:
Incorporate peer and self-assessment to reduce instructor
workload and provide immediate input.
Encourage peer review to distribute feedback.
