MARRIAGE AGREEMENT

ASTOMI BARMAN, aged about – 18 years, (D.O.B.- 19-02-2007), D/O- Pulen


Barman, by religion- Hinduism, a resident of village – Guwabari, P.O. – Gossaigaon, under
P.S - Gossaigaon, in the District of Kokrajhar, (B.T.R) Assam, PIN- 783360 herein after
called the FIRST PARTY, i.e. BRIDE
-AND-

RANJIT ROY, aged about – 27 years, (D.O.B. – 01-09-1997), S/O.- Maneswar Roy,
by religion- Hinduism, a resident of village – Hokmabil, P.O. – Dotma, P.S. Dotma under in
the District of Kokrajhar, Assam, PIN- 783347 herein after called the SECOND PARTY,
i.e. BRIDEGROOM.

WHEREAS, both the Parties are major as per Indian Majority Act and there is no
blood relationship between the Parties. Both the Parties agree to enter into their Social
Marriage within one year at commence place with the consent of their parents’, guardians
and relatives. Hence, both the Parties have executed this Marriage Agreement before the
Notary Public with the following terms and conditions:-
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. That, both the Parties are Indian Citizen by birth and Hindu by Religion.
2. That, both the Parties are major as per Indian Majority Act and there is no blood
relation and Sapinda relationship between the Parties.
3. That, both the Parties have decided to perform their Social Marriage within one year
at commence place as per Hindu rites and custom.
4. That, both the parties shall be guided by the Hindu marriage rules and customs and
will be Guided by the Hindu law.
5. That, the parties will live as husband and wife together after the solemnization of
social marriage.
6. That, the Bridegroom will keep his wife very peacefully and will not quarrel.
7. That, the Bridegroom will peacefully give brides introduction to his relative.
8. That, the SECOND PARTY will maintain the FIRST PARTY keeping her in his
own house and shall not demand any kind of dowry from the FIRST PARTY in
future.
9. That, the parties will performed the necessary Puja, Saptpadi, Home and Bhoj, etc.
according to Hindu Customs at the time of Solemnization marriage.
10. That, the Second party also undertake to provide bare necessities of the Children
including their upkeep education, etc.

11. That, the children who will be born to the parties will be legally entitled to inherit all
the movable and immovable properties of the parties. They will be the legal heirs of
the parties.
12. That, during the existence of the marriage no Party will be entitled to contract any
other marriage.
13. That, both the parties will maintain the terms and conditions of this marriage
agreement till their death and if any of the Party violets/breaches any of the terms and
conditions of this Marriage Agreement then the aggrieved Party can seek redressal
before the appropriate Court claiming compensation against the violating Party if
he/she suffers any loss for such violation.
14. That, both the Parties execute this Marriage Agreement as a piece of documentary
evidence of their marriage.
15. That, both the parties shall remain faithful to each other and shall not do or cause
anything to be done that may adversely affect the interest of the other party.

IN WITNESSES WHEREOF both the parties put their signature voluntarily


without any undue influence from any corner after being fully understanding the contents
of this Marriage Agreement in their vernacular language in presence of the following
signatories on the day, month and year mentioned above.
