Eligibility:
This event is exclusively for school students from Classes 9
to 12.
The competitions are divided into 2 categories.
Category 1: Students belonging to Matriculation & State
Boards
Category 2: Students belonging to CBSE, IB, ICSE & IGCSE
Boards
A teacher must accompany the students throughout the
event.

Registration Requirements:
Each student must possess a valid email address.
Important Notes for Registration:
Participants must carefully enter their full name and school
name without errors, as certificates will be prepared based
on these details provided during registration.
Schools are required to adhere to participant limits:
Group Events: Only 2 teams per school.
Individual Events: A maximum of 3 participants per
school.
More details on registrations will be available in the invite.
Deadline:
All submissions for online events must be done on or before
18th August 2025.
On the Day of the Event
Dress Code:
All participants must wear their full school uniform along
with their school ID card throughout the event.

Students participating in Cosplay are asked to come
dressed in their chosen attire.
Meals:
Snacks will be served. Kindly note that lunch will not be
provided. Participants are advised to make their
arrangements.
Attendance:
Students are required to be present 10 minutes before the
commencement of each event.
All events will take place in Bertram Hall.
All participants, including those enrolled in online events,
must be physically present on campus.
Students are required to remain within the Loyola College
premises for the entire duration of the event.
All participants must report by 7:45 A.M. for the Inaugural
Ceremony at Bertram Hall.
Participants are expected to stay until the conclusion of the
Valedictory Ceremony at 4:30 P.M.
Conduct:
All participants are expected to maintain discipline and
strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of Loyola
College.
The management will not be responsible or liable for the
loss of any individual items.

EVENTS
MASQUERADE (Cosplay)
Time: 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM
Platform: On-Stage Event
Objective: Participants are required to dress up as their favourite French or
Francophone personality or fictional character and present a 1-minute oral
presentation in French, portraying the essence of the chosen character.
This is an individual event.
Each school may send a maximum of 3 participants.
Participants are encouraged to arrive at the venue dressed in their costumes and
makeup from home or school.
Modest and appropriate attire is mandatory.
Participants may use props, but they must be brought by the participants
themselves.
Participants will be evaluated based on the following parameters: Relevance and
Accuracy, Creativity, Confidence and Clarity, Overall Presentation, and Stage
Presence.
A participant may be disqualified on the following grounds: Use of reference
materials or prompts during the presentation ; Inappropriate attire; Failure to
adhere to the time limit or event rules; Any form of misconduct or disrespect.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

ZÉRO FEU, MILLE GOÛTS
(Cooking without Fire)
Time: 9:45 AM – 10:30 AM
Platform: Off-stage Event
Objective: Participants are required to prepare a French or Francophone cuisine
spread consisting of one starter and one dessert without the use of fire or electrical
appliances. An oral presentation of the prepared dishes (in French) is also mandatory.
This is a team event.
Each school may send a maximum of two teams.
A team can have a maximum of 3 participants.
Participants must bring their own ingredients, utensils, serving dishes, and
decorative items required for preparation and presentation.
The use of electrical appliances, gas stoves, or open flames is strictly
prohibited.
Pre-cooked or partially prepared food items are not permitted; all dishes must
be entirely prepared on-site within the time limit.
The entire cooking and plating process must be completed within the allotted
time.
The evaluation will be based on the following criteria: taste and flavour; visual
appeal; creativity; clarity and confidence in oral presentation; teamwork and
coordination.
Any form of misconduct, disrespect, or unhygienic practices will lead to
disqualification.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
The organizers reserve the right to make necessary changes to the rules, with
prior notice if required.
CHANTASTIQUE
(Group Singing)
Time: 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM
Platform: On-Stage Event
Objective: Participants are required to perform a group singing piece exclusively in
French, showcasing their musical and linguistic skills.
This is a team event.
Each school may send a maximum of two teams.
A team must have 3 to 5 participants.
The total time limit is 6 minutes (2 minutes for setup/preparation and 4 minutes
for performance).
AUX cables, connectors, and any other necessary connection wires or adapters
must be brought by the participants themselves.
Participants must bring their own musical instruments if required.
If using karaoke tracks, they must be emailed in MP3 format to
francofiesta2k25@[Link] by 18th August 2025.
Only French songs are allowed; songs with offensive or inappropriate language
are strictly prohibited.
Participants must submit two hard copies of the song lyrics to the judges
before the performance.
The use of mobile phones or electronic devices during the performance is not
permitted.
Bonus points will be awarded for performing without reading aids.
Participants will be evaluated on pronunciation, song selection, pitch, clarity,
rhythm, interpretation, confidence, and memorization of lyrics.
A team may be disqualified for using non-French or offensive songs, exceeding
the time limit, failing to submit karaoke tracks ( if needed ) by the deadline, using
mobile phones or unauthorized devices on stage, or engaging in misconduct or
disrespect.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

PETIT BAC
(Name, Place, Animal, Thing)
Time: 11:15 AM - 12:00 PM
Platform: Off-Stage Event
Objective: Participants will demonstrate their knowledge of basic French
vocabulary by completing written and oral rounds requiring quick thinking and word
recall.
This is an individual event.
Each school may send a maximum of three participants.
The event comprises two rounds:
Round 1 – Pen and Paper:
Participants will be provided with a worksheet and must fill in as many correct
French words as possible in the given categories based on general vocabulary.
Round 2 – Rapid Fire:
Each participant will be asked to quickly list French words starting with a specific
letter within the allotted time.
The participant who provides the maximum number of correct French words will
be declared the winner.
Participants will be evaluated on the number of correct, relevant, and appropriate
French words listed in both rounds.
A participant may be disqualified for providing incorrect, irrelevant, or non-French
words, using unauthorized materials, or violating event rules or time limits.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

QUIZBOUM
(Quiz)
Time: 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM
Platform: On-Stage Event
Objective: Participants will compete in a quiz testing their knowledge of French
landmarks and geography, French gastronomy, French and Francophone
festivals, and Francophone countries.
This is a team event.
Each school may send a maximum of two teams.
Each team must have two participants.
The quiz will consist of a preliminary round, after which only the qualifying
teams will proceed to the main rounds.
The use of any printed or electronic reference materials is strictly prohibited
during the event.
Participants are advised to prepare based on the specified topics.
Teams will be evaluated based on the accuracy and promptness of their
responses throughout the quiz rounds.
A team may be disqualified for using any reference material, engaging in unfair
practices, or violating the event rules.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

Objective: Participants are required to correctly spell words in French,
demonstrating their vocabulary knowledge and spelling accuracy.
This is an individual event.
Each school may send a maximum of three participants.
Participants must spell the given word in French within the time limit.
Clues may be provided on request, but only one chance will be given to spell
each word.
Participants must clearly spell the word aloud when asked.
Participants will be evaluated on the accuracy and correctness of spelling the
given words in French.
A participant may be disqualified for exceeding the time limit, spelling the word
incorrectly after the clue, or violating event rules.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

MÈMETASTIC
(Meme Creation)
Platform: Online event
Submission date: 18th August 20225
Objective: Participants are required to create an original meme in French on any of
the given themes, showcasing creativity, language proficiency, and humor.
This is an individual event.
Each school may have a maximum of three participants.
The meme must be created based on the theme: Le cours de français et moi
The meme should be submitted in JPEG/JPG format to
francofiesta2k25@[Link] by 18th August 2025.
The file size should not exceed 10 MB.
The email must include the participant’s name, class, and school name.
The winners will be announced on the day of the event during the valedictory
ceremony.
Plagiarism, use of offensive language, or content that discriminates based on
gender, religion, or ethnicity will lead to disqualification.
Entries will be evaluated on originality, appropriate use of the French language,
and humor.
A participant may be disqualified for plagiarism, use of offensive or
discriminatory content, exceeding the file size limit, or failure to follow submission
guidelines.

Objective: Participants are required to paint on a plain white or black T-shirt based
on the given theme “Oxymore”, showcasing their creativity and artistic interpretation.
This is an individual event.
Each school may send a maximum of three participants.
Theme: Oxymore
Participants must bring their own plain white or black T-shirt and all necessary
painting materials and tools.
The use of any reference material (printed, digital, or written) during the
event is strictly prohibited.
The painting must be completed within the given time limit and must reflect the
assigned theme.
Participants will be evaluated on originality, language, aesthetics, adherence to
the theme, and overall creativity.
A participant may be disqualified for using reference material, failing to adhere to
the theme, or violating the time limit or event rules.

(Quiz)

expressions, French history & politics, Sports in France, French cinema & music
This is a team event.

Each team must have two participants.
The quiz will consist of a preliminary round, after which only the qualifying
teams will proceed to the main rounds.

during the event.

(Potpourri)
Time: 12:00 PM - 12:45 PM
Platform: On-Stage Event
Objective: Participants will engage in three interactive rounds—Pictionary,
Anagram, and Dumcharades, all based on basic French vocabulary, to test their
language skills, creativity, and teamwork.
This is a team event.
Each school may send a maximum of two teams.
Each team must have two participants.
The event will consist of three rounds:
Round 1 – Pictionary:
One participant will draw vocabulary words from a given set while the other guesses
the words correctly within the time limit.
Round 2 – Anagram:
Participants will form valid French words using the given set of scrambled letters.
Round 3 – Dumcharades:
One participant will enact a French word or expression while the other guesses
Participants must follow the instructions and time limits set for each round.
Teams will be evaluated on accuracy, creativity, spontaneity, adherence to the
time limit, and teamwork across all three rounds.
A team may be disqualified for using verbal or unauthorized clues, exceeding the
time limit, or violating the specific rules of any round.

VOIXOPHILES
(Dubbing)
Time: 12:45 PM – 1:30 PM
Platform: On-Stage Event
Objective: Participants are required to dub a given scene in French, showcasing their
voice modulation, pronunciation, and timing skills.
This is a team event.
Each school may send a maximum of two teams.
Each team must have 2 to 5 participants.
Participants must dub for one scene selected from the five provided by the
event committee, which can be accessed by clicking the following link
The scene must be dubbed entirely in French.
All preparation, practice, and dubbing must be based on the provided scenes only.
Teams will be evaluated on lip-sync accuracy, voice modulation, pronunciation,
and overall performance quality.
The teams are asked to submit two hard copies of the scripts in French to the
judges at the commencement of event.
A team may be disqualified for dubbing a scene not from the provided options,
using inappropriate language, or violating event rules.

ÂME DU POÈTE
(Poetry Recitation)
Platform: Online Event
Submission date: 18th August 2025
Objective: Participants are required to memorize and recite the given French
poem “Pour faire le portrait d’un oiseau” with accurate pronunciation, intonation,
and expression.
This is an individual event.
Each school may send a maximum of three participants.
Participants must memorize and recite the assigned poem without reading or
prompts.
A video of the participant reciting the poem must be recorded and submitted to
francofiesta2k25@[Link] by 18th August 2025.
The participant’s name, class, and school name must be mentioned in the
email.
The prizes for online events will be distributed during the valedictory function.
Participants will be evaluated on pronunciation, intonation, memorization,
clarity, and overall expression of the poem.
A participant may be disqualified for reading from prompts, incorrect or
incomplete recitation, or failure to submit the video within the deadline.
