Pre-lesson: Ask pupils to introduce themselves a shorter

version of their names. Then, ask pupils to think of adjective

to add to their name.

Lesson delivery:

1. Pupils refer to textbook page 5 and asked what they can

see on the page.

2. Pupils listen to a song clip CD1 track 3. Pupils listen to the

song and point at the flags in the textbook.

3. Pupils listen to the song again and write the names of the

children in their exercise books.

4. Pupils are asked the importance of having flags.

Post-lesson: Pupils play Chinese Whisper. Pupils line up in

their groups. Teacher prepares a sentence strip for each


group and gets the first person to read.

*Pupils can read up on any country that they like.

Lesson delivery:

1. Play the CD 1 track 4. Pupils listen to the exchange

example in the textbook.

2. Pupils practice the exchange with their partners.

3. Each pupil writes the country’s name that they have

chosen in their exercise books.

4. Explain about their ‘Intro’ game. Pupils walks around the

class with their exercise books while showing the page with
country’s name to others. Pupils go to a friend and say the

Pre-lesson: Pupils are guided to make their own stretch a

sentence foldable using half an A4 paper.

Lesson delivery:

1. Pupils recap a little on writing a paragraph using a picture


of a monster guided by the teacher.

2. 6 pictures of a situation with an A4 paper are pasted on

each corner. Explain to pupils about the Station Writing.

Pupils move in their groups from station to station to write a

sentence under each picture.

3. Pupils start the game. Pupils move from station to station

upon teacher’s instruction.

Post-lesson: Each A4 paper of consisting the sentences are

given to different groups. Pupils read the story in front of their

class.

5. Pupils are given time to practice with their stanza with

movements and gestures.

6. Pupils come to the front to perform their stanzas.

the favourite part of the lesson.
