PATRIOTISM

Patriotism = is a deep love and loyalty to one's country, often shown through
respect for its values, history, and culture. It involves a commitment to
supporting the nation’s progress and wellbeing, with expressions varying based on
personal and cultural experiences.
At its heart, patriotism is a bond to one's homeland and a desire to contribute to
its future.

National pride = is the feeling of deep admiration and satisfaction that

individuals have for their country, often stemming from its achievements, culture,
history, or values. It’s an emotional connection that makes people feel proud of
their nation’s identity and successes, whether in areas like sports, innovation, or
social progress. National pride can also foster a sense of unity and collective
identity, though it is usually more about celebrating what the country represents
rather than actively working toward its improvement.

While both national pride and patriotism involve love for one's country, they
differ in focus. Patriotism is more about a commitment to the nation’s values,
progress, and wellbeing, often including active involvement and a sense of duty.
National pride, on the other hand, is the feeling of personal pride and admiration
for the country's achievements, culture, or history. Patriotism tends to be action-
oriented, while national pride is more about emotional attachment and admiration.

Love of Country = The love of country is the fundamental nature of a law enforcer’s
duty. The country, as the land of their birth and the home of their people,
inspires them to dedicate their life to service. This love is the highest value a
Filipino law enforcer holds, beyond money, rank, or possessions. It is a value that
endures through them and is passed on to future generations. This love drives them
as protectors of peace and order, upholding the sovereignty of the nation. They
stand firm in their oath with courage, knowing that even if they face danger alone
or make the ultimate sacrifice, they will find peace knowing their purpose has been
fulfilled. It is this love of country that shines through every act of valor,
inspiring and uplifting the spirit of the nation.

Valor = Valor is born from a deep love of one’s country. It represents the inner
strength, resilience, and determination to face challenges head-on, even in the
most difficult situations. Valor goes beyond mere bravery—it is the unwavering
courage to continue a mission despite overwhelming odds. It involves calculated

the challenges faced and the discipline required. It is upheld during peaceful
times through support for legal initiatives, and even more so in dangerous
situations, where it may require the ultimate sacrifice.

values that define our nation and the well-being of our people. It’s about loving
our country so deeply that we’re willing to stand up for it, contribute to its
progress, and protect its future. Every small act of service, every effort to
uphold justice, and every expression of respect for our shared values adds to the
strength of our nation. Let us recognize the patriotism within ourselves and
embrace it, not just in times of need but in our everyday lives. By doing so, we
honor those who came before us and pave the way for future generations to enjoy the
freedom and opportunities we hold dear.
