Horizontal Bracing Connection Design Based on AISC 360-22

DESIGN CRITERIA
1. If using pure Finite Element Method, the central line of horizontal brace should be at the beams center level. However, the most two
perpendicular beams are not same size and their top flanges connected lateral force diaphragm. So it is better to design the central line of
horizontal brace close to top diaphragm.
2. The horizontal brace can be HSS, WF, or T section. All welds finished in the shop, and easy shipping to project site. Only bolts connection
work required in the project site.
