III. Development of the Lesson
*Before the start of the class, make sure that chairs are properly arranged,
and no pieces of trash are found on the floor. Start the class with a prayer, checking
of attendance, and setting of classroom rules.
A. Preliminary Activity
1. Drill
Present the words “Scope”, “Limitations”, “Problem”, and
“Introduction” in a form of flashcards. Students will pronounce the word
that is shown.
Definitions from Oxford Languages (2021)
Scope- the extent of the area or subject matter that something deals with or
to which it is relevant.
Limitations- a limiting rule or circumstance; a restriction.
Problem- a matter or situation regarded as unwelcome or harmful and
needing to be dealt with and overcome.
Introduction- the action of introducing something.
2. Review
Read the following statements. Answer TRUE if the statement describes
research, FALSE if you think it is not.
1. There should be adequate data before conducting research.
2. To have an objective view of the study, the researcher should avoid
listening to another researcher.
3. A researcher must-read literature that relates to the problem being studied.

3. Motivation
Show a picture to the class.
Situation:
Imagine yourself as the CEO of a company in the picture shaking hands with a
prospective client. How will you introduce yourself? Write your answer in two (2) to
three (3) sentences.
Find a partner. Choose one role in the picture shown. You can either be the
businessman or the client.
4. Presentation of the lesson
Connect the previous activity to the objective of the lesson.
Present the objectives to the class.
Procedure
A. Activity
Divide the class into groups of two. Each group will have a different activity
provided in a worksheet. (The students are organized in going to their
respective groups). Before the students will go into their respective group,
they must make sure that there are no pieces of trashes on the floor. Instruct
them to move around quietly. Each group has an assigned marshal to ensure
the discipline of his group. They must make sure that they will do the activity
without unnecessary noise.
The teacher will prepare handouts for each group. The handouts contain pictures of
a certain scenario. After which, they will answer the activity sheet as a group output.
They will be provided with manila paper to write their answers.
Instructions: Identify the issue portrayed in the two images. You can also provide
your view on why an issue exists. Refer to the guide questions.

The students were assessed to determine their learning styles before the activity. To
ensure positive and non-violent discipline always set classroom rules at the start of
the session; appropriate behavior should be reinforced, and always search for the
root cause of the misbehavior.
