This Student Assessment Booklet includes all your tasks for assessment of BSBCMM401 Make a
presentation.
About your assessments
This unit requires that you complete four assessment tasks.
You must complete all tasks to achieve Competency for this unit.
Assessment Task About this task
Assessment Task 1: Written questions You must correctly answer all 11 questions to show that
you understand the knowledge required of this unit.
Assessment Task 2: Plan a You must plan a different presentation using the
presentation template provided.

When you have completed each assessment task you will need to submit it to your assessor.

Your assessor will give you feedback about how well you went in each task, and will write this on the

Make sure you photocopy your written activities before you submit them – your assessor will put the
documents you submit into your student file. These will not be returned to you.

2. Plan and document your evaluation approach.
The effectiveness of your presentation will be evaluated by other students as well as your
assessor. Research existing presentation evaluation surveys and draft your own.
Your survey should evaluate your preparedness, verbal and non-verbal communication, use of
presentation aids, listening and questioning techniques, how well you interacted with the group
and how well you knew and presented your topic. You must also include a space for the
evaluator to write what they liked most and ideas for improvement. Provide instructions and a
5 point response scale in the evaluation (for example, strongly agree, agree, neither agree or
disagree, disagree, strongly disagree, etc.).
The evaluation tool should also include a space for the evaluator to write:

2. Analyse and report on the completed surveys from your presentation in a short report. Your report
