Castrol Radicool Si-OAT
Engine Coolant and Antifreeze
Description
Castrol Radicool Si-OAT is a nitrite, amine and phosphate free antifreeze coolant with added silicate for the latest
vehicles requiring silicate containing OAT technology. Aqueous solutions of Castrol Radicool Si-OAT act as both
antifreeze and coolant and offer excellent corrosion protection to all metal parts found in the cooling systems of internal
combustion engines.
Castrol Radicool Si-OAT should be used at concentrations of between 33% and 50% dilution with purified water to give
optimum corrosion protection and freezing protection between -18°C and -36°C.
Application
Castrol Radicool Si-OAT has been developed to provide total protection for the metals used in the engine radiator
systems, cylinder block heads, water pumps and heat exchangers.
In the majority of cases, coolants are not compatible and should not be mixed with other coolants unless directed by the
equipment manufacturer. If using Castrol Radicool Si-OAT for the first time, ensure that the cooling system has been
adequately flushed with clean water.

Castrol Radicool Si-OAT is formally approved by MAN for use in those vehicles specifying MAN 324 Type Si -OAT
coolants, including those vehicles built after Dec 2012.
Castrol Radicool Si-OAT is also suitable for use in older vehicles previously using MAN 324 Type NF and MAN 324 Type
SNF fluids.
Castrol Radicool Si-OAT is approved for use in VW vehicles requiring VW TL-774G approval . It is also compatible with
older VW TL774C (G11) and VW TL 774F (G12+) type fluids and can be used where VW TL 774J (G13) fluid is
recommended.
Castrol Radicool Si-OAT is suitable for use in Mercedes Benz heavy duty vehicles manufactured after Oct 2011.

Storage
All packages should be stored under cover. Where outside storage is unavoidable drums should be laid horizontally to
avoid the possible ingress of water and damage to drum markings. Products should not be stored above 60°C, exposed
to hot sun or freezing conditions.
