 Who you learned it from?
 How you learned it?
And how you feel about it?

• That was back in 2 years ago, when I….
Eg: The helpful skill I always feel grateful to be taught by a dedicated leader of mine is time
management, which indeed has become my life-saver.

Back in the day when I was a part-time employee, I was led by an extremely tidy leader. It is
not a bit exaggerated to refer to him as a creature of habit. "Alignment is beauty" has been his
motto since he tends to be well-organized consistently.

Details (what happened, what you did, scenery, result)

1. What happened
During my first weeks at the company, missing deadlines after deadlines got me into tons of
troubles. My problem caught my leader's attention and it led to 1-1 meeting session with him in
no time.

2. What you did (your actions and reactions)

After a while, we discovered my poor performance stemmed from how awful I managed my
time at work. I failed to prioritize tasks based on the tasks’ importance and urgency. I then was
introduced how to sort out and allocate my time on the right priority level tasks and that brand
new skill was an eye-opener to me. He also suggested me to make action plan for weeks,

2
months, and quarters to come besides my daily to-do lists so I can have clear direction to stick
to.
3. Result
I have been applying that method since then and things got done much more smoothly and I
eventually can be on top of my game at work. I have been deeply thankful that this skill serves
as my life changer which colossally improved my work.

Why (feelings)
• Overall, it was rewarding experience and I learned a lot
• This experience had profound influence on my life
• That was pretty much a milestone in my life

II. An activity

Describe a thing or an activity you do to keep fit

You should say:
 what the activity is
 when and where you usually do it
 how you do it
 and explain why it can keep you fit.

What
I would like to share with you something that I am keen on doing in my leisure time to stay
healthy, which is jogging.

When and Where

I took up this habit about 2 years ago. At that time, I was up to my ears with studying to
prepare for my graduation examination so I was a little bit stressed out. Then I thought that I
needed to do something energetic to release some stress, so I decided to have a crack at
jogging.

How
At first, doing this was quite challenging for me because I led a sedentary lifestyle. I just sat in
front of my computer every day to complete my assignments. But after a few days of suffering
from muscle aches, I got used to jogging and kept doing it in the evenings.

Why
Well, I have to say that this sport has helped me a lot in strengthening my physical health as well
as my mental health. Thanks to jogging, I was able to lose my fat belly and get lean. Now, to be
honest, I’m quite satisfied with my youthful appearance and trying to maintain it. Also, jogging
allows me to unwind and enjoy fresh air, and whenever I go jogging I feel like my mind is being
refreshed.

In the future, I am going to keep doing this to stay healthy and maybe I will try some other sports
too.
