Introduction
Artificial Intelligence is a paradigm of computing that aims to mimic human
intelligence, enabling machines to learn from experience, adapt to new inputs, and
perform tasks that traditionally require human intervention. It is important to note that
Artificial Intelligence is not just a buzzword; it's a transformative force that is reshaping
industries, solving complex problems, and revolutionizing how we live and work.
This project aims to enhance language learning for Grade 9 students by leveraging AI
tools to support key language skills—conjunctions, pronunciation, and punctuation.
Using Unit 2, "May I Help You?" from the Grade 9 English textbook, the project
integrates real-life conversational scenarios to create a practical and engaging learning
experience.

Introduction to the tools we used
In the pursuit of effective language acquisition, technology has transformed traditional
learning into an interactive experience that feels more like a game than a classroom
chore. Quiz.com, AI LingoPlay, and Kahoot! are three innovative tools that enhance
language learning through gamification and AI-driven methods, making the process
engaging, personalized, and interactive.
Quiz.com is an online quiz platform that empowers both teachers and students by
allowing them to create, share, and complete quizzes in a dynamic and engaging format.
Its features make it a powerful tool for language education, fostering active participation
and immediate feedback that enhances comprehension and retention. Quiz.com
provides instant feedback to students, helping them identify areas of strength and
aspects needing improvement, which supports rapid learning and understanding. The
platform also encourages active participation, a crucial factor for language retention,
through customizable content that teachers can tailor to specific vocabulary, grammar
points, or cultural contexts, ensuring that the material is relevant and aligned with
students' needs. Quiz.com’s gamification features, such as points, scores, leaderboards,
and timed quizzes, cultivate a competitive yet enjoyable learning environment. With
options like avatars, visually appealing themes, and a capacity to accommodate up to
300 participants, Quiz.com suits a wide range of classroom or group activities.
Additionally, teachers can either design quizzes manually or use AI support, making it
both versatile and accessible.
Kahoot! is a widely recognized platform known for its lively, interactive design that
transforms traditional lessons into competitive, social experiences. With its quiz-based
format, Kahoot! excels at creating a highly engaging environment that fosters student
participation and is well-suited to group activities. This makes it particularly beneficial
for language learners, as it enables collaborative learning, allowing students to interact,

discuss, and compare results, thereby enhancing comprehension and social interaction.
Kahoot!'s gamified features include points and leaderboards, which introduce a
competitive element that motivates students to improve. Additionally, the platform
supports various question formats, including multiple-choice, true/false, and polls,
providing teachers with options to tailor their assessments. Teachers can also
incorporate images, videos, and music into quizzes, which appeal to visual and auditory
learners and create a memorable experience.

Lesson Plan 2
Lesson: Pronunciation
Time: 45 minutes
Lesson Objective: By the end of the lesson, learners will be able to correctly use at
least 10 vocabularies related to the post office and railway stations in a role-play
scenario.
Materials/ Resources:
● Grade 9 English textbook
● AI tools (Canva AI image generator, AI lingo play role-play)
● Whiteboard, markers
● Student devices (phones, tablets, or computers)
Introduction to the lesson plan: One of the primary challenges learners often
encounter is the acquisition of new vocabulary and the accurate pronunciation of words.
AI-powered tools, such as AI Lingo Play can address these difficulties by integrating AI
into the learning process, to create a more engaging and effective language learning
experience.
AI Lingo Play enables learners to acquire vocabulary in context, simulating real-life
scenarios. This contextual learning approach enhances word retention and
comprehension. Moreover, the tool provides opportunities for learners to practice
pronunciation, fostering accurate and fluent speech.
By incorporating AI-generated images into textbook lessons, we can further stimulate
learners' interest and reinforce their understanding of vocabulary. Visual aids have been
proven to enhance memory and comprehension, making the learning process more
efficient and enjoyable.
Instructions/ Procedures:
● Learners are given access to AI tools under the supervision of the teacher.
● The learners are expected to do the activities within the given time frame.
