UNIFIED MENTOR
This report details my industrial training experience at Unified Mentor, a
prominent data analytics and business intelligence firm. During the training, I was
involved in the Data Science and Analytics Department, where I worked on a
project focusing on visualizing bird strike incidents affecting aircraft. This
project was part of the company's commitment to providing actionable insights
through advanced data analytics solutions.
The training provided me with the opportunity to apply a multidisciplinary
approach. I first worked on data collection and preprocessing, utilizing tools like
Python and Pandas for cleaning and organizing raw data. Following this, I
performed data analysis to identify patterns and trends in bird strike occurrences.
To visualize the findings, I used Tableau to create interactive dashboards that
helped identify potential risk factors and provide insights into areas for
improvement in aviation safety.
In addition to this main project, I was assigned to work on other data analytics
tasks, including employee attrition analysis, where I developed a predictive
model to determine factors contributing to employee turnover. This involved using
machine learning algorithms, including logistic regression and decision trees, to
build models capable of identifying at-risk employees based on various workplace
factors.
Throughout the training, I faced several challenges, such as handling large datasets,
ensuring data accuracy, and selecting the appropriate machine learning models.
These challenges helped me acquire new skills, such as data cleaning,
visualization, and predictive modeling, while also honing my problem-solving
and analytical thinking abilities. I also gained hands-on experience with tools like

The analysis aimed to pinpoint high-risk flight phases and average strike altitudes.
Using Python, I processed and cleaned the data to ensure accuracy, then performed
exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover significant insights.
