कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मीः करमध्ये सरस्वतम ।
करमूले तु गोववन्दीः प्रभाते करदर्शनम् ॥

English Transcript

karagre vasate lakshmi karamadhye sarasvati |


karamule tu govinda prabhate karadarshanam ||

English Translation

Lakshmi ji resides at the top of the hand.


Mother Saraswati resides in the middle of the hand.
Shri Bhagwan Govind resides in the lower part of the hand.
Every morning we should have darshan in our hand.

Hindi Translation

हाथ के अग्र भाग में लक्ष्म जम का वास होता है ,


हाथ के मध्यभाग में सरस्वतम मााँ का वास है ,
हाथ के मूल अथाश त वनम्न भाग में श्रम भगवान गोवविंद का वनवास है ,
प्रत्येक सुबह हमें अपने हाथ का दर्शन करना चावहए।

समुद्रवसने दे वव पवशतस्तनमण्डले ।
ववष्णुपवि नमस्तुभ्यिं पादस्पर्ं क्षमस्वमे ॥

Transliteration

samudra vasane devi parvatastanamaṇḍale ।


viṣṇupatni namastubhyaṁ pādasparśaṁ kṣamasvame ॥

English Transcript

samudravasane devi parvatastanamandale |


vishnupatni namastubhyam padasparsham kshamasvame ||

Hindi Translation

(हे धरतम माता) हे दे वम, आप वजनके पास आपके वस्त्र के रूप में समुद्र है ,
और पवशत आपके पयोधर है ,
हे भगवान ववष्णु कम पिम, आपको नमस्कार;

कृपया मेरे मेरे चरणोिं द्वारा आपको होने वाले स्पर्श को क्षमा करें
(पृथ्वम पर, जो आपका पववत्र र्रमर है )।

English Translation

I salute you, O Bhumi Devi, who wears the clothes of the sea,
has the bosom of a mountain and is the wife of Lord Vishnu.
Please Forgive my Touch of the Feet
(on Earth, which is Your Holy Body).

वसुदेवसुतिं दे विं किंस चाणूर मदश नम् ।

दे वकम परमानन्दिं कृष्णिं वन्दे जगात्गुरुम् ॥

Meaning: I bow to Lord Krishna, the son of Vasudeva, who was the cause of mother Devaki's
immense happiness, and the one who killed the wicked Kamsa and Chanoora, and who is the
supreme teacher of the universe.

Sanskrit Shloka

मूकिं करोवत वाचालिं पङ्गुिं लङ्घयते वगररिं ।


यत्कृपा तमहिं वन्दे परमानन्द माधवम् ॥

Transliteration

mūkaṁ karoti vācālaṁ paṅguṁ laṅghayate giriṁ ।


yatkr̥pā tamahaṁ vande paramānanda mādhavam ॥

English Meaning

I bow to paramananda Madhava, whose Kripa transforms the dumb


into a speaker and makes the lame climb the mountain.

I remember and admire this grace flowing from
Madhava’s expression of supreme bliss.

Hindi Meaning

मैं परमानिंद माधव को नमन करता हिं , वजनकम कृपा गूिंगे को वक्ता में बदल दे तम है
और अपिंग को पहाड़ पर चढा दे तम है । मैं माधव के परम आनिंद कम अवभव्यक्तक्त से
बहने वालम इस कृपा को याद करता हिं और उसकम प्रर्िंसा करता हिं ।

गिंगा च यमुने चैव गोदावरम सरस्वतम |


नमशदे वसिंधु कावेरम जलेक्तिन सिंवनवधम कुरु ||
Gange Cha Yamune Chaiva Godavari Saraswati
Narmade Sindhu Kaveri Jalesmin Sannidhim Kuru.

Meaning: O rivers Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, Saraswati, Narmada, Sindhu and Kaveri, please
enrich the water I am bathing with, with your presence.

गिंगा वसिंधु सरस्वतम च यमुना गोदावरम नमशदा


कृष्णा भममरथम च फल्गु सरयूीः श्रमगिंडकम गोमतम ।
कावेरम कवपला प्रयाग ववनता नेत्रावतमत्यादयोीः
नद्यीः श्रमहरर पादपिंकज भवाीः कुवशतु वो मिंगलम् ॥
gaṃgā siṃdhu sarasvatī ca yamunā godāvarī narmadā
kṛṣṇā bhīmarathī ca phalgu sarayūḥ śrīgaṃḍakī gomatī .
kāverī kapilā prayāga vinatā netrāvatītyādayoḥ
nadyaḥ śrīhari pādapaṃkaja bhavāḥ kurvatu vo maṃgalam ||
May rivers Ganga, Sindhu, Saraswati, Yamuna, Godavari, Narmada, Kaveri, Sharyu,
Mahendratanaya, Chambala, Vedika, Kshipra, Vetravati (a rivulet), chiefly the Mahasurnadi,
Jaya and Gandaki become sacred and absolute, and along with the sea, shower benevolence on
me.

नमावम गिंगे तव पादपिंकजिं सुरासुरैवशक्तन्दतवदव्यरूपाम् ।


भुक्तक्तिं च मुक्तक्तिं च ददावस वनत्यिं भावानुसारे ण सदा नराणाम् ।
Meaning: O Mother Ganga, the bestower of all worldly happiness, pleasures and Moksha as per
the different levels of bhav of the worshipper, all Deities and demons worship your Holy feet, I
too offer obeisance at your Holy feet.

आवददे व नमस्तुभ्यिं प्रसमद मम भास्कर ।
वदवाकर नमस्तुभ्यिं प्रभाकर नमोऽस्तु ते ॥१॥
Aadi-Deva Namastubhyam Prasiida Mama Bhaaskara |
Divaakara Namastubhyam Prabhaakara Namostu Te ||1||

Meaning:
1.1: (Salutations to Sri Suryadeva) My Salutations to You O Adideva (the first God), Please
be gracious to me O Bhaskara (the Shining One),
1.2: My Salutations to You, O Divakara (the maker of the Day), and again Salutations to You,
O Prabhakara (the maker of Light).

ADITYASYA NAMASKARAM YE KURVANTI DINE DINE


JANMANTAR SAHASTRESU DARIDRYAM NOPAJAYATE ||

Meaning :The man who performs Surya Namaskara daily does not get poor in thousand births.
Hence, give Surya Namaskara an urgent place in your daily routine. And like the daily rising of
the sun. Surya Namaskara is indeed a daily routine.

गुरुर्ब्शह्मा ग्रुरुववशष्णुीः गुरुदे वो महे श्वरीः ।

गुरुीः साक्षात् परिं र्ब्ह्म तिै श्रम गुरवे नमीः ॥

Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu Guru Devo Maheshwara |


Guru Sakshat Param Brahma Tasmai Shri Gurave Namaha ||

Guru is Brahma, the Lord of Creation, also called Generator. Guru is Vishnu (Vishnu is the
Organizer), and Guru is Maheshwara (Shiva or the destroyer). Guru Sakshat Parabrahma means
Guru is Parbrahma, the Supreme God.
Since Guru leads us to a path of light, the Guru is Parabrahma. Tasmai Shree Guruve Namah
means ‘we bow to that Guru’. Hence, being a realized soul, Guru embodies Parabrahma or the
ultimate Godhead.

र्ब्ह्मा मुराररक्तस्त्रपुरान्तकारम
भानुीः र्र्म भूवमसुतो बुधश्च ।
गुरुश्च र्ुक्रीः र्वनराहुकेतवीः
कुवशन्तु सवे मम सुप्रभातम् ॥१॥

Transliteration

brahmā murāristripurāntakārī
bhānuḥ śaśī bhūmisuto budhaśca ।
guruśca śukraḥ śanirāhuketavaḥ
kurvantu sarve mama suprabhātam ॥1॥
English Meaning

The gods Brahma, Murari and Tripurantkari


(the one who destroyed the Tripurasuras), the planets Bhanu (Sun),
Shashi (Moon), Bumisuta (Mars) and Buddha (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter),
Shukra, Shani, Rahu and Ketu, everyone make my morning auspicious.

Hindi Meaning

दे व र्ब्ह्मा, मुरारम और वत्रपुरािंतकारम (वजसने वत्रपुरासुरोिं को समाप्त वकया),


ग्रह भानु (सूयश), र्वर् (चिंद्रमा), बुवमसुता (मिंगल) और बुद्ध (बुध),
गुरु (बृहस्पवत), र्ुक्र, र्वन, राहु और केतु , सभम मेरम सुबह को र्ुभ बनाएिं ।

यज्ञवर्ष्टावर्नीः सन्तो मुच्यन्ते सवशवकक्तिषैीः ।


भुञ्जते ते त्वघिं पापा ये पचन्त्यात्मकारणात् ॥ ३-१३॥

yajñaśiṣṭāśinaḥ santo mucyante sarvakilbiṣaiḥ


bhuñjate te tvaghaṃ pāpā ye pacantyātmakāraṇāt

The righteous, who eat the remnants of the sacrifices are freed from all sins; but those sinful
ones who cook food (only) for their own sake verily eat but sin.

र्ब्ह्मापशणिं र्ब्ह्म हववीः र्ब्ह्माग्नौ र्ब्ह्मणा हुतम् ।


र्ब्ह्मैव तेन गिंतव्यिं र्ब्ह्मकमश समावधना ।।
brahmārpaṇaṃ brahma haviḥ brahmāgnau brahmaṇā hutam .
brahmaiva tena gaṃtavyaṃ brahmakarma samādhinā ||

Any means of offering is Brahman, the oblation is Brahman, the fire in which the offering is
made is Brahman, and the one who offers is Brahman. Such a person who abides in Brahman
indeed gains Brahman.
yat karosi yad asnasi
yaj juhosi dadasi yat
yat tapasyasi kaunteya
tat kurusva mad-arpanam
O son of Kunti, all that you do, all that you eat, all that you offer and give away, as well as all
austerities that you may perform, should be done as an offering unto Me.

अहिं वैश्वानरो भूत्वा प्रावणनािं दे हमावश्रतीः ।


प्राणापान समायुक्तीः पचाम्यन्निं चतुववशधम् ॥
ahaṃ vaiśvānaro bhūtvā prāṇināṃ dehamāśritaḥ .
prāṇāpāna samāyuktaḥ pacāmyannaṃ caturvidham ..
Becoming the fire of life, I enter into the bodies of all creatures and mingling with the upward
and downward breath I digest the four kinds of food (masticated, drunk, licked, sucked).

ॐ सह नाववतु ।
सह नौ भुनक्तु ।
सह वमयं करवावहै ।
तेजक्तस्व नावधमतमस्तु मा वववद्वषावहै ।
ॐ र्ाक्तन्तीः र्ाक्तन्तीः र्ाक्तन्तीः ॥

Om Saha Nau-Avatu |
Saha Nau Bhunaktu |
Saha Viiryam Karavaavahai |
Tejasvi Nau-Adhiitam-Astu Maa Vidvissaavahai |
Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||

Meaning:
Aum! May He protect us both together; may He nourish us both together;
May we work conjointly with great energy,
May our study be vigorous and effective;
May we not mutually dispute (or may we not hate any).
Aum! Let there be peace in me!
Let there be peace in my environment!
Let there be peace in the forces that act on me!
